12—ANAHEIM GAZETTE ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Wednesday, March 13, 1963 Heuler Wins Bond Support The Los Alamitos School District Board of Trustees has unanimously endorsed the Anaheim Union High School Districts proposed $25 million bond issue and State loan. A presentation on the problem was made at the regular Board meeting by High School District Board member Dr. Kenneth Heuler. Heuler highlighted his talk with graphs showing the growth of the district and its resultant problems of pupil housing and finance. He frequently cited the similarity between problems of the Los Alamitos School District and the Anaheim High School District. The High School District is seeking funds to build 3 Senior High Schools, 6 Junior High Schools, and to purchase 7 additional Junior High School Sites. A similar bond issue 4 years ago built a total of 7 schools and purchased a total of 13 school sites. The district is growing so rapidly that if additional schools are not begun soon there will be a housing shortage for 17,000 students by 1970.
