$— ANAHEIM GAZETTE Wednesday, January 18, 1963 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA LEGAL NOTICES RESOLUTION NO. 2000 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DESIGNATING ANNEXATION No. 240 AND PREScribing THE NOTICE TO BE GIVEN 24.3 never located South of Chappan Avenue & East of Explaination also including the new No. 4 Fire Station Here. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange did on the 5th day of January 1963 receive a written petition asking that certain territory described therein be annexed to the City of Orange, and WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the proposal for annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Orange was submitted to and reported upon by the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, State of California, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundation and description. WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Orange is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and contiguous to the City of Orange and is uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description of said territory; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange finds from evidence and reports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one-fourth (%) of the area and not less than one-fourth (%) of the assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be annexed according to the last preceding equalized County Assessment Roll; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange finds from evidence and reports received and from sale petition that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Orange did not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Orange. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City Of Orange: That such proposed annexation be designated as Annexation No. 219 and that such proposed annexation be the same is hereby given; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 19th of February, 1963 at the hour of 7:20 o'clock PM, at New York Building 101, N Center Street, City of Orange be, and the same is hereby fused as the time and place when and where any person owning Heart Association Slates Symposium The Eighth Annual Symposium on Heart Disease will be held on January 19, it was revealed today by Raymond R. Ross, M.D., chairman of the Professional Education Committee of the Orange County Heart Association. The Symposium, sponsored by the Heart Association, will be held in the Gourmet Restaurant, Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim. Three nationally known physicians who have done outstanding work in the field of Heart and Circulatory diseases will be featured at the Symposium. They are S. Gilbert Blount, Jr., M. D., of Denver, Colorado; W. Procter Harvey, M. D., of Washington, D.C.; and Leo G. Rigler, M.D., of Los Angeles. Dr. Blount is Professor of Medicine; Head of the Division of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiovascular Laboratory at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado, Medical Center. Dr. Harvey is Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Division of Cardiology at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. and Dr. Rigler is Clinical Professor of Radiology at the U.C.L.A. Medical Center, Los Angeles. The program will be held all day on Saturday, January 19, in the Magnolia Rooms of the Gourmet Restaurant, Disneyland Hotel, in Anaheim. Army PFC Edmun NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City Of Orange: That such proposed annexation be designed as Annexation No. 219 and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is hereby given and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 19th of February, 1962 at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Library Building, 101 N. Center Street, City of Orange be, and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when an enclosed area within said territory so proposed to be annexed, and having objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the City of Orange and show cause why such territory should not be annexed, that all persons having any objections to such proposed annexation are hereby notified to appear and place to show cause if any they have, why such territory should not be annexed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice be given that at any time before the hearing objections any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the annexation with the City Clerk of the City of Orange and prosoiled to the provisions of Section No. 5332 of the Government Code, and shall state the name of the owner of the property affected and the designation and area of the property in general terms; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Orange Daily News, a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of Orange, and also in the Anaheim Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City of Orange, but in the County of Orange that such publication shall be completed before twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
