Helena St., Anaheim, national vice president of the Assistance League. Comprising the pilot committee are Mmes. Joe R. Thompson, L. H. Louden, Sr., Ernest D. Rose, B. W. Jordan, Norvald Ulvestad, Al Cotler, Macine Weigand, A. E. Schumacher, Phyllis Harrison, and Miss Sylvia Bula. Anaheim's Chamber of Commerce board of directors have unanimously approved the formation of a women's division as a full-fledged member of the chamber. The proposal was spearheaded ange, Anaheim women will undertake such civic projects as city beautification, education and culture, occupational job training, membership ideas, dissemination of public information, and participation in civic affairs. Mrs. Pearson announced that as a division in the Anaheim chamber, women will be "highly dedicated to providing growth in all areas of community life where women are best able to serve." 'Santana Task Force' To Aid County Kell Resigns; Starts Local Law Practice State Deputy Attorney General George W. Kell of Anaheim today announced his resignation from the Los Angeles Staff of Attorney General Mosk's office for the purpose of entering into private practice of law in Anaheim. He will join the firm of Behm and Callen, 1720 W. LaPalma Ave., on Nov. 1. Kel joined the Attorney General's office in September of 1960 Local Rotary Club To Hear Counselor Members of Anaheim Rotary have been invited along with other neighboring Rotary Clubs to hear Carl Hoelscher, Rotary International Counselor and former district governor, address Santa Ana Rotary Club today at noon. The meeting will be held at Kim's Restaurant, 2120 W. 17th St. nounced today by James K. MacDeputy State Forester for Southern California. The "Force" is comprised of 75 men and 45 pieces of equipment coming from California Division of Forestry stations in northern California where the fire season has been closed due to last week's State Deputy Attorney General George W. Kell of Anaheim today announced his resignation from the Los Angeles Staff of Attorney General Mosk's office for the purpose of entering into private practice of law in Anaheim. He will join the firm of Behm and Callen, 1720 W. LaPalma Ave., on Nov. 1. Kel joined the Attorney General's office in September of 1960 and has been principally employed in the representation of the State of California in criminal appeals before the District Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. Before joining the Attorney General's office, he was an assistant United States Attorney for the southern district of California for two years. BIOLA Offers Seven Majors Seven new majors are being offered in the curriculum of Biola College this year, according to an announcement made by G. Willis Toms, registrar. More than 900 students are enrolled this year in the school, one of five affiliated training centers of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, Incorporated. Subjects to be offered as majors include: biological science, humanities, language arts, non-science, speech, and non-professional music. In addition to these, Biola College also offers the following majors to students: bible, christian education, church music, secondary music education, applied music, english, history, psychology. An elementary teaching credential may also be obtained at Biola College. Begins New Season Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont has begun its 30th consecutive season featuring The Mexican Players in "Festival Mexicano", a concert of songs, dances, and intimate humorous sketches from most states of Mexico. The show will run six weeks, closing with matinee and evening performances November 10. To Hear Counselor Members of Anaheim Rotary have been invited along with other neighboring Rotary Clubs to hear Carl Hoelscher, Rotary International Counselor and former district governor, address Santa Ana Rotary Club today at noon. Mr. Hoelscher is expected to outline the ways and means by which a Rotary Club can be of greater service to its community and also to give individual members a greater meaning to the slogan, "Service Above Self." Dimes Leaders Set Annual Dinner-Meet Orange County March of Dimes leaders will gather for their annual dinner meeting. Thursday Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa. Dr. Joseph Risser, noted orthopedist and consultant at the March of Dimes Birth Defect Center at Orthopedic Hospital, Los Angeles, will be the key note speaker. The slogan for the 1963 Dimes Campaign is "Give for the life of a child". McKenzie said. Attending the meeting will be March of Dimes Chairmen and leaders of County groups and organizations, and an open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to attend. McFie announced today that there is an urgent need for appliances for janitor and custodial laborer positions at the Anaheim Post Office. Starting salary for these custodial positions begin at $3,595 per year for janitors with annual increases to $4,470. Custodial laborers start at $3,905 and increase to $4,820 per year. Ten per cent additional is paid for night work, the Postmaster said. Postmaster McFie stated that applications are being accepted now at the local post office and will continue to be received until an adequate register of eligibles is established. He advised that applicants must be U. S. citizens, at least 18 years of age. Since these positions are restricted by law to persons entitled to veterans preference, only such persons should apply. Local residents who qualify on the written examination will be given first consideration for vacancies at the Anaheim Post Office and will be qualified for appointment to similar positions at the following nearby post offices: Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Orange, and Santa Ana.
