Newlyweds To Make New Home in Anaheim
Making their new home at 618 Pauline St. in Anaheim are Mr. and Mrs. Clark E. Soule who were recently married in an evening ceremony at Capilla de San Antonio.
Tri Hi Y Has First Meeting
Mrs. Arsene Ohanian hosted the Jr. Tri Hi Y Women's Committee for the first meeting of the school year.
Vice-President Mrs. Alex Deverall, conducted the meeting due to the vacancy in the office of the presidency. The first item of business was the nomination and election of a new president. Mrs. Otto Griggs was elected president for the remainder of the school year.
Other items of business taken under consideration were rally and potluck for Y Clubs; Hollywood Y-Day Oct 27; Smorgasbord Nov. 10. New seventh grade mothers will be invited on the committee during the month of October.
Newly elected president, Mrs. Otto Griggs, checked to see that all committee women were working with United Fund. The Anaheim UMCA is a United Fund-Related agency.
Next committee meeting will be held Oct. 9 in the home of Mrs. Robert Dockson.
Open House Set By GOP Women
Formal opening ceremonies for their new campaign headquarters at 119 No. Los Angeles St. were conducted Saturday by the Republican Federated Women of Anaheim.
The "Open House" event featured cross country telephone conversations between Bob Geier, GOP nominee for the 34th Congressional District, other GOP candidates, and national leaders in the Republican Party.
Orange County and Anaheim city officials participated in the opening day program. Directing the new headquarters, and in charge of arrangements, are Mrs. Mark Hicks, president of the Anaheim Federated Women; Mrs. Herbert Hendrickson, West Anaheim president; and Irma Ray.
AEHS Offering Classes in Sewing
Due to popular demand in the advanced sewing field the Anaheim Evening High School is pleased to announce that the third class in custom sewing will be offered on Monday mornings in the YMCA building from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m. in addition to the other Tuesday and Wednesday classes already offered.
Mrs. Jeanette Myers is the Instructor.

MUSIC TO SOOTH—The geriatrics ward at Orange County Hospital will have soothing music flowing through its rooms through the efforts of Chi Omega Sorority. As one of their philanthropic project members of the group raised $100 recently to have music piped into the ward, two members of the sorority in the above photo presents the $100 check and a music record to volunteer Lorraine Warner. Junior Ebell Club Swings into New Season with Heavy Schedule
“Make the most of yourself; for that is all there is of you.”
Taking this famous Emerson quotation to heart, members of the Anaheim Junior Ebell Club have all intentions of making the most of themselves during the month of October, having set up for themselves a heavy schedule of activities which include meetings, a brunch, a luncheon, several social events and various philanthropic and civic projects.
The general meeting, a benefit-recipient night, was held yesterday membership. Those desiring to have coffees with new members are asked to contact Lis Martin for membership cards.
The new members luncheon will be held at the Revere House Oct. 16, at 12:30.
Mrs. Gary Lindell, health chairman, reported that the Volunteer Bureau needs drivers to take patients to the therapy pool and the health department in Santa Ana. Volunteers are asked to sign up with Mrs. Lindell.
The art section has asked members to save frozen juice cans to help in the therapy kitchens on Wednesdays and Beauty Boosters on Thursdays.
Activities for the month include the welfare meeting, Oct. 9 at 7:45 p.m.; district board meeting, Oct. 10 with Yorba Linda hostess; joint junior-senior chairmen's brunch at Rossmoor Bowl at 10 a.m., Oct. 12; new members luncheon at Revere House, Oct. 16 at 12:30; contract bridge, Oct. 16 and couples bridge, Oct. 28.

Two new chairmen were named; Mrs. George Blinn, historian; and Mrs. Carl Herron, religion.

Kappa Deltas To Meet Today
Orange count Kappa Delta Alumnae Association will meet Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Angelo Mauceri, 9671 Hillview Rd., Anaheim.
A special welcome will be made to new and old members. All Kappa Deltas living in this area are invited to attend and reservations may be made by contacting Mrs. J. M. Swigart, KE 5-8058.
HIGHWAY SYSTEM
The 41,000 mile Interstate Highway System, scheduled for completion by 1972, will have about 6,700 miles within urbanized areas, the Automobile Club of Southern California reports. The remaining 36,300 miles are intercity routes.
Orange State Orange State
Board of Directors representing 300 members of the Orange State College Alumni Association met last week to discuss planned activities for the 1962-63 season.
Officers of the board are the following: President Robert J. Blacker, 14324 Greenstone, Norwalk; Vice-president Mike Lynes, 1162 Southeast Skylin Drive, Santa Ana; Secretary Jacqueline L. Reams, 268 Lombard Street, Pomona; Treasurer Ron Boring, 529 North Citrus, Orange; and board members Tony Lombard, 930 South Nicolae Fullerton; Gordon McKay, 2699 W. Stanton Avenue, La Habra; Jeri Reiser, 521 North Colfax Street, La Habra; Sunny Smith, 14372 La Jolla Road, Placentia.
Popular attendance over past years' activities has influenced the Board to expect another outstanding season.
Local Women Taken Into Delta Zetas
Mrs. E. C. Kozlouski and Miss Crystal Tilley, both of Anaheim, will be among the ten Orange County Theta Upsilon Alumnae to be initiated into the Orange County Delta Zeta Oct. 7. Theta Upsilon Sorority joined Delta Zeta in June.
A reception will be held with the Orange County and Long Beach alumnae as hostesses.
