In addition to the featured luncheon and dinner speakers, many well-known professional writers and editors will be seen and heard in the panel discussions scheduled all three days of the conference. Appearing on the May 17 Nonfiction Panel will be Helen Doss, author of "The Family Nobody Wanted"; Los Angeles Times columnist Ed Ainsworth, novelist and collaborator with the late Leo Carillo on "The California I Love"; humorist John Robert Clark ("The Importance of Being Imperfect"), who lives and works on his boat in the local Marina; and Jane Ardmore, biographer of Hollywood personalities who appeared here as a featured dinner speaker last year. Three other main speakers from the 1961 Writers' Conference are back this year to take part in panel programs. Monorail To Be At County Fair A one-mile true monorail system, capable of carrying 24 passengers in each of the 14 cars on a scenic ride over the fairgrounds, will soon be under construction at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, fair manager Phil D. Shepherd announced. Contract for the project has been signed with the American Crane and Hoist Corp. of Downey. Construction is expected to start immediately in order to complete the project.
