AND JUST THE TEENIEST PINCH OF ARSENIC — Martha (Vivienne Maloy) left, and Abby (Ruth Smithton) right, explain to the astonished Mortimer (Walt Assenheimer), their recipe for Elderberry wine. Both women who play the roles of the loveable, murderous Martha and Abby, in Arsenic and Old Lace, are Anaheim residents. Assenheimer is from Brea. The Agatha Christie classic is being presented to area audiences next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday by the Orange Theater Guild. See story on page 2.
Duo Billed at Chariot Room
Versatility is the entertainment keynote at the Anaheim Bowl's Chariot Room this week in the persons of comedian Paul Gilbert and singer Dian Hart.
Gilbert, a headliner on the nightclub circuit and veteran of TV guest shots, is capable of going off in ten different directions at once. He sings, dances, boxes, swings on a trapeze, plays eight musical instruments and is very funny besides.
And his amazing energies overflow into his private life where designing furniture, driving a racing car, speedboating and high diving keep him from going stale.
The 35-year-old comic's bright career spans 22 years, beginning with his start as a comic trapeze artist at the age of 60. His hectic rise to fame has included Broadway's "Winged Victory," light opera stellar roles and his attention-getting performance in the U.I picture "So This Is Paris."
Petite, vivacious Dian Hart concentrates mainly on singing but is also an entertainer of many talents. She has danced and sung since her toddler years, teaming at one time with her brother as the "Darling Duo."
A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, she is also adept at ballet, interpretive, modern jazz and acrobatic dancing.
This attractive due will be in the Chariot Room to entertain you through April 4.
Leprechaun Is Play Star
Children's Theater Group Sets Fantasy Feature For Mar. 24
by FRANK EVANS
If you're one of those who occasionally likes to escape from reality and drift into fantasyland — set aside Saturday, Mar. 24, for an excursion ride to Scotland.
For when the curtain goes up at the Anaheim High School Auditorium at 10:30 a.m., you will meet an honest-to-goodness real live Leprechaun.
The three-act play "Flibberty-gibbet," the fifth in the series of the Children's Theatre presentations, is sponsored by the Anaheim Park and Recreation and promises to bring an hour and a half of entertainment to those who attend.
The play, written by Charlotte Chorpenning and Nora Tully MacAlvay, is about a Leprechaun whose last chance to become a mortal depends upon his success in winning a place in the affections of the people in a small dour Scotch community.

ORANGE SPOTLIGHT
BY BOB ABBORENO
What's the first thing you think of when someone says "Nightclub"? — Floor shows? Plenty of high priced refreshments?
Well, it really doesn't matter which you think of first, because if you are a normal person you will eventually get to both of them.
But did you know there is a nightclub in Orange County that does not serve alcoholic drinks? Sure, it's the Mon Ami on Tustin Ave., in Orange. They guarantee no hangover the next morning — providing you don't head for Harbor Blvd, afterwards.
It's a small place and, I understand, an informal and relaxing one as well. I don't really know for sure, because I haven't been (Please Turn to Page Two)

A dozen former Academy award winners will occupy the spotlight at the grand premiere of the new Movieland Wax Museum late in April in Buena Park.
For the kleig-lighted opening they will wear costumes from their memorable screen portrayals.

They are among the 60 wax figures of outstanding motion picture and television entertainers who will fill the stages of the million dollar gallery.
The museum-bound award-winners-in-wax and their "Oscar" pictures are Lionel Barrymore, ("Free Soul," 1931); Wallace Beery ("The Champ," 1932); Charles Laughton ("The Private Life of Henry VIII," 1933); Clark Gable ("It Happened One Night," 1934); Gary Cooper ("Sergeant York," 1941, and "High Noon," 1952); Humphrey Bogart ("The African Queen," 1951); William Holden ("Stalag-17," 1953); Marie Dressler ("Min and Bill," 1931); Katharine Hepharn ("Morning Glory," 1933); Vivien Leigh ("Gone with the Wind," 1939, and "A Street Car Named Desire," 1951); Bingger Rogers ("Kitty Foyle," 1940); Ethel Barrymore ("None But the Lonely Heart," 1944).
