one of the performances, a demonstration of the "Twist" by the Wilders, Bremerman, and Barbara, who is the wife of Walt Wilder.
A word of warning to those who suffer from stage-fright. Don't let them talk you into coming up on the stage to do the "Twist" with Bremerman — if you are a girl— or with Barbara, if you are the other half of the coin. They'll "Twist" you into a pretzel and have you loving it.
Corey is a Canadian who makes his home in Burbank. He has been in show business for 17 years, since winning on the Arthur Godfrey show in 1947.
"That's probably one of the reasons why I did not become a tremendous success," the comedian quipped. "... Because I was a winner. Only the losers became famous."
Before entering the entertainment field, he had a lucrative
Tim Ingram and Chad Sparkes, Western High School have been named winners of Anaheim Elks Youth Leader Contest.
Winners and their parents guests of the Lodge at a spain dinner and presentation of awards. The two students received a check for $50.
The judging was based evidence of the candidate's ties in leadership, citizen perseverance, resourcefulness and sense of honor. All applicants were required to submit a brief summarizing their active accomplishments, and object.
Tim Ingram is presently dent body president of West High School and Chad Sparkes is the commissioning activities. Both have been active in school and community services, and have maintained "A" grade average in their classes in school.
Other winners of the contest include: Leonard Klikunas Lawrence Erickson of Se High, and Judy Lee Joyce Joan Valusek of Anaheim.
the main methods of expression in Denmark.
Little work of this kind has reached the United States. The exhibit is in the forefront of growing American awareness of the graphics.
In the representational exhibit are six different media, the work of some of the most noted artists of Denmark. Three of these artists are of special interest.
The late Aksel Jorgensen was a house painter and self-taught artist. He provided in his 35 years as a professor, inspiring teaching the Royal Academy had known for decades.
Lars Bo, though young, has illustrated 35 books for European publishers. He has also gained international recognition for his fine arts.
Dan Sterup-Hansen studied at the Royal Academy of arts, Copehagen. He has exhibited internationally as a painter and graphic artist. Currently he is a member of the board of the Royal Academy.
Of special note are the woodcuts. This is one of the oldest art methods and is as effective today as in earlier times.
Prints such as these are true originals made by the artist in limited numbers from the hand prepared block, stone or plate.
The exhibit was collected with the cooperation of the Kunstkredsen for Grafisk og Skulptor and the Grafisk Kunstnersamsund

Place; Albert M. Moore, 1975 W. Lullaby Lane, and Fred T. Krein, 722 Janss, have also taken out papers.
In announcing his decision to the Gazette, councilman Thompson said, "I did not want to be too hasty in making my mind up. However, after considering all the facts, among them the realization that the city has invested a certain amount of money in me during the time I was on the Planning Commission and the two years on the Council, and the consequent knowledge and experience I have gained concerning municipal business, I have made Corey is a Canadian who makes his home in Burbank. He has been in show business for 17 years, since winning on the Arthur Godfrey show in 1947.
"That's probably one of the reasons why I did not become a tremendous success," the comedian quipped. "... Because I was a winner. Only the losers became famous."
Before entering the entertainment field, he had a lucrative business as a wholesaler of fruit in Windsor, Ontario. He recalls his first entertaining being directed at hitchhikers he picked up in his truck while making deliveries.
"I also used to get as much as 25 cents more a package from my customers because they liked my jokes so much," he recalled.
His "Polish Hour" routine should be a classic for the type.
The Wilders are Warner, Walt and George. But they are not the entire act. Included are Barbara; who plays a mean electric bass, Hayden Causey, who equals her on the electric guitar, and sensational 21-year-old Bremerman, who is more than just reminiscent of the immortal Gene Krupa on the drums.
Like Corey, all have been around for some years. The Wilders, have attained a certain amount of fame, having been with Stan Kenton, Les Brown and other bands. As kids, they starred in the "Our Gang" comedies.
Barbara, before she married Walt, played in motion pictures and acted as a sort of director for the boys before they formed their act four years ago.
Causey, too, was with a list of name bands, including Harry James, Vic Damone, Dinah Shore and Kay Starr.
Bremerman, although by far the youngest of the group at 21, also has an impressive background. Within recent months, he has played in "Sugarfoot", "Restless Gun", "Loretta Young", and with Fred McMurray, in "My Three Sons", on TV. He has also done a considerable amount of recordings, particularly in the "Rock and Roll" category.

the Gazette, councilman Thompson said, "I did not want to be too hasty in making my mind up. However, after considering all the facts, among them the realization that the city has invested a certain amount of money in me during the time I was on the Planning Commission and the two years on the Council, and consequent knowledge and experience I have gained concerning municipal business, I have made up my mind to run."
Thompson promised the Gazette he would declare his stand on key city issues in a written statement next week.
Thompson was appointed to the City Council from the Planning Commission Sept. 15, 1959, replacing Robert Borden who resigned when he was transferred from the Anaheim area.
