Nursing Care Is Lecture Topic At Hospital
The third in a series of special lectures by prominent county physicians on care of patients after surgery was held Monday at the Martin Luther Hospital cafeteria.
Planned by the hospital's nursing department as part of its in-service training program the lectures are designed to cover every phase of nursing care with particular emphasis on certain procedures to follow in the proper caring of every type of post-operative surgery case.
Dr. Bertram L. Tesman, Martin Luther chief of staff and professor of obstetrics at the UCLA Medical Center, was speaker at the lecture. His topic for the evening will be, "Post Operative Care and Complications of Obstetrics-Gynecology Patients."
The current series started in October when Dr. Samuel S. Gendelspoke on "Post Operative Care of General Surgery Patient," and Dr. Murray Russell covered the topic, "Post Operative Care of General Urology Patients."
A hospital spokesman said that all lectures are open to the public. Martin Luther is located at 1825 W. Ronineya Dr. (West of Euclid between La Palma and the Bay).
