Hyde became the bride of Ben H. Shuford in a lovely afternoon ceremony performed at West Anaheim Methodist Church by the Rev, David Deshler. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley C. Reamer of Sunland, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Logan H. Shuford of LaPorte, Texas. The bride chose a moss green silk afternoon dress for the nuptials, complemented by a small, veiled hat. She carried a corsage of green orchids on a prayer book. She was given in marriage by her father. The bride's mother, Mrs. Reamer, was matron of honor for her daughter. Her dress was a sheath of beige lace which she wore with bronze chrysanthemums. Best man was Edward E. Ward of Goleta, Calif. A reception was held following the ceremony at The King's table in Westminster, Harold Vollmer, manager, was host. The honeymoon trip will include Santa Barbara and Huston, Texas, to visit the parents of the bridegroom. The bride is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in geology. Her husband attended the University of Houston and is a graduate of Los Angeles State College. He is employed by Autonetics. The newlyweds will make their home at 931 Trident St. in Anaheim. Kerr Musical at BIOLA Sunday Iris Kerr and Al Sanders will emcee a special KERR MUSICAL this Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Biola Campus Auditorium, 13800 Biola Avenue in La Mirada. The Musical, part of a twelve week series of afternoon programs presented by Biola College, will feature an hour and a half of music, by leading Sacred recording artists. Floral Arts Guild Has Demonstration "Autumn's Bounty" was demonstrated by Mrs. J. B. "Bob" Kirkpatrick of Vista when she appeared before the Orange County Floral Arts Guild Monday at the Santa Ana Library. Mrs. Kirkpatrick received her early training in flower arranging in Chicago and has been San Diego counties for the past ten years. Dickerson PTA Has First Meet The Elizabeth E. Dickerson PTA had its first monthly meeting at the Cypress School auditorium with Edwin Maloney presiding. Mrs. Dale Christenson, first vice-president and chairman of the program committee reported on the progress of her committee and asked for suggestions from the floor. John Valladingham, second vice-president and chairman of the ways and means committee, told of his plans and asked the members to form a hospitality and membership committee. At this time a paper and rag drive was suggested to bolster the treasury of the new organization. A special fund committee was formed and a date for the drive will soon be set. A program was presented by Mr. R. T. Smith's fourth grade class consisting of four songs, the last of which was joined by the audience. The next meeting will be held Nov. 28, at 7:30. A beautiful Christmas program will be presented by all members of The Sing-O-Rama on Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m. to share their cheer with talents with their families and friends, followed by a big Christmas Party and visit from Sainte-Thérèse de la Santé. Anaheim Boy in Television Role Twelve year old Robert Jaw of Anaheim has completed acting role in "Farewell To Billy", a half-hour segment of a popular television series, "Le It To Beaver." The telefilm was photographed under the directorship of David Butler at Revue Studios in Universal City. The Anaheim boy, a client of the Screen Children's Guild Agency of Hollywood, has previously appeared on TV in "The Lord Young Show" and has a supporting role in the soon-to-be-released United Artist musical feature "West Side Story." Society - Clubs - Churches TELEPHONE PR 2-1800 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Thursday, November 16, 1961 ANAHEIM GAZETTE—5 Auxiliary to Help In United Fund Typical of the many groups which are actively participating in the Residential Division of the Anaheim United Fund's current request for funds is the local Auxiliary of the Family Service Association of Orange County. Under the leadership of their chairman, Mrs. Leonard Bouas, the entire membership of the group, sixteen in number, volunteered to cover the Paul Revere School area in this drive. The Auxiliary actively represents the Family Service Association in the Anaheim area by interpreting the agency's services of marital and parent-child counseling. Last year the Association assisted 218 families, consisting of 426 adults and 523 children, from Anaheim and its surrounding communities. All case work is conducted by graduate social workers. Actively promoting the United Fund and its 15 participating agencies in an area which receives the greatest percentage of the services of their organization are the following auxiliary members: Mmes. Lonnie M. Dunn, Richard Hill, Richard Husmann, serves as a board member of the Family Service Association as does Dr. Ross Dean, also of Anaheim. Hospital Guild Holds Benefit A green and gold Christmas preview await visitors to St. Jude Hospital Guild's fourth annual benefit Gift-O-Rama today in the hospital staff room. Theme for the affair has been worked out by Mrs. Rose Moore, chairman. A highlight of the decorations is a tall evergreen tree trimmed with gold and white birds. An assortment of hand-made decorative items for mantle, wall and table will be offered, as well as imported gifts and toys, jewelery, housewares, religious gifts, stationery and mens and boys gifts.
