Unitarians Set Religion School
The 1961-62 session of the Religious Education program of the Unitarian Church of Orange County began Sunday, under the direction of the church school superintendent, Mrs. Virginia Barcus. The first session was spent largely in registration of students. Classes are still open in all grades.
Mrs. Barcus, a professional educator and member of the congregation, was chosen this summer to assist the Religious Education committee in setting up the school year program.
As a special project, the classes will write to noted men such as Sir Winston Churchill and Dr. Albert Schweitzer. Field trips and other teaching aids will be used throughout the year, extensively.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Daily of 721 N. Helena St., and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay J. Wells, Richmond, Calif.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor length taffeta gown with lace bodice and long sleeves. A fingertip veil was held to her hair by a small crown of pearls. She carried white spider chrysanthemums and red roses.
Mrs. Richard A. Daily was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Eric Kroesche, Miss Judi Badenhausen and Miss Sheryl Thomson. All wore street length dresses in pink satin and carried lavender mums and sterling roses. Laura Kemp was flower girl.
Donald Sianotti was best man, and ushering were Richard Daily, Joseph George, Troy Nuckols and Donald Conn.

The Women's Alliance presented a fashion-dessert recently with Mrs. William Woods as moderator and co-director with Mrs. Allen Geiger.

A buffet dinner was held at the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony. Hosts were the Richard Dailys and Mrs. Patrick Coffee who also attended the guest book.
The bride is a graduate of Occidental College. Her husband is a student at San Francisco State while working as salesman for Pacific Coast Blueprint Company.
Following a honeymoon trip through Northern California, the couple will make their home in San Francisco.

Manners, Modeling
Classes Offered
By Junior Ebells
A series of classes on "Manners and Modeling" will be sponsored by the Junior Ebell Club of Anaheim starting Oct. 7.
Mrs. Robert Webb (Sue), a professional model, will conduct the classes in "Manners and Modeling" for young ladies. The series, to be held at the Ebell Clubhouse in Anaheim, will run for four weeks.
Open to the public, the classes will cost $2.00 for the series of four lessons or $.75 per lesson. Manners and grooming will be emphasized, with modeling taught for poise. Five to eight year olds will meet at 9; nine to twelve-year-olds at 10; and thirteen to sixteen-year-olds at 11.
Mrs. Webb, who has presented similar classes for club groups and in the public schools, formerly headed her own school in Anaheim. She is donating her time for the series. All money received from the classes will be used to purchase television sets for use by the children at the Albert Sitton home in Orange.

LuCille Kelly Is Hospital Director
Mrs. LuCille Kelly of Anaheim has been appointed executive director of the forthcoming Childrens Hospital of Orange County by its Interim Board of Trustees, it has been announced by E. B. Buster,
chairman. She will act as board secretary, coordinate public relations activities and supervise the newly-established administrative office in the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Building at 610 East 17th Street, Santa Ana, he said.
Mrs. Kelly is well known in civic circles in the county, having led the Garden Grove womens committee for the Childrens Hospital building fund. Formerly in business for herself there, she also teaches women's personal development classes in both Garden Grove and Anaheim adult education departments of the city schools and has presented many fashion show commentaries and lectures on TV.
A graduate of Mundelein College, Chicago, and a former United Air Lines stewardess, she is also a former special representative for the IBM company. Recently she, was named to serve as executive secretary of the 1962 Strawberry Festival in Garden Grove and is an honorary member of B.P.W.

Theta Upsilons To Meet Tonight
Orange County alumnae of Theta Upsilon will meet tonight at the home of Mrs. Joseph Spalding, 2117 N. Towner St., Santa Ana. A brief business meeting will be held at 7:45 to discuss philanthropic activities for the coming year.
Miss Margaret Babcock, program chairman, has invited Mrs. Wallace Walton, Orange County librarian and a Theta U alumna, to give a program of book reviews. In addition, Mrs. Spalding will present a program of color slides taken on a European trip this past summer.
