The Hobbies Bldg. is jammed with more interesting displays yet assembled there since this department has shown more than a 200 per cent increase in entries. Written by Lorene Semple, Jr., the comedy whirl set New York audiences rocking and rolling with mirth in the fall of 1959, will open Tuesday, July 18 through July 23. Arias has displayed both scholastic ability and made an above-average contribution in the school's "learn-by-doing" activity program. He has received a Wrasse scholarship twice since he began work at Poly majoring in poultry husbandry. These students were selected for the scholarship in competition with hundreds of applicants from every part of the state, a total of 66 Wrasse scholarships being granted for the 1961-62 school year. The Wrasse awards result from a trust established by the late Leopold Edward Wrasse of Caruthers, Fresno County, a bachelor farmer who amassed a fortune from thrift and investments.
