Honor Banquet Held at SAC Santa Ana College members of Phi Theta Kappa national junior college honor society, and Alpha Gamma Sigma California honor society, were recognized at the honors banquet at Santa Ana College. Among the honor students who became permanent members of Alpha Gamma Sigma after election for three semesters were Stephen Habener and Hershel Welton of Anaheim. Agency Moves Into County The tremendous growth of Orange County has created a great demand for additional Swenson Gets Post S. Harold Swenson has been named to the Fullerton Planning Commission, replacing Tom Howe who is leaving the community. Swenson is manager of facilities and services at Hughes Aircraft Company. He is married and lives in Fullerton with his wife and son. A married daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Rice, lives in Anaheim. Edward J. Mooney, supervisor for this new branch, has been working in all phases of adoption for Holy Family, in both the Los Angeles and Long Beach offices, for three years. He holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College and a B.A. from Providence College in Rhode Island. Harbor, Santa Ana, died May 8 Services were held at Peek Family Colonial Funeral Home and at St. Columbian's Catholic Church in Garden Grove with interment in Holy Sonneher Cemetery. He was a native of Albuquerque, N.M. and had lived here 15 years. He leaves his wife, Floria, daughter Viernaria; a son, Jonas; four brothers, Luciano, Rodolfo, Fred and Filomeno; two sisters, Emilia and Tulez. She leaves husband William; daughters Tina, Sue, Sitia and Barbara; son Hoger and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Malone Nunneloe of Oklahoma. Co-hosting with Anaheim were the Santa Ana, Fullerton and Orange clubs. Attending the Counril area meeting were Edna Wirt Woods, governor of the Pacific region; Marilyn Hefsteeter of Whittier, secretary of the Pacific region; Irma Wible of San Diego, treasurer of Pacific region; Helen Thomas Bennett of Yuma, Ariz., parliamentarian of Pacific region; Clata Bowen of Midland, Calif., board member of Pacific region; Emily Zeigler, San Diego past president; and Saley Daniels of Indio, finance chairman of Pacific region. The meeting began with a breakfast at poolside and workshops were held through the morning. A luncheon in the ballroom was highlighted by music by Mrs. Jackie Cruz, Anaheim Soroptimist. The afternoon was devoted to discussion of new structure for the Federation. Mrs. Jerry Bennet is president of the Anaheim group. College Offers Summer Courses The business administration and economics division of Orange County State College, Fullerton, is offering four summer school courses of special interest to regular college students, high school teachers of economics and business, and to persons in industry. The courses are in the management field: industrial organization and management, and personnel management and human relations. The instructor will be Frank Rizzardi, associate professor of business management. Rizzardi taught at General Motor Institute and had wide business experience before coming to OCSC. Summer Playhouse Annuces Plays The curtain will go up June 27 on a star-studded "straw hat" theatrical season of ten Broadway hit plays at the Luna Beach Summer Playhouse. It was announced by producers Cheryl Maxwell and Gil Roberts. The opening feature popular stage and actress Betty Yeakel in the comedy "The Pleasure of Company." The all-professional company with visiting stars will spike a gay season with sparkling elegance fare. Such luminaries include Lynn Bari, Marlo Thompson, Heather Angel, Brian Keith Jeremy Slate and others who "trod the boards" in Laguna this summer. Plays already planned are "The Girls in 50 Gigi" "The Dark At The Tent Of The Stairs," and "Once More With Feeling", with five other to be announced shortly. The "Tavern Post" is published under the editorship of Christine McNeal of Santa Ana and is in its thirty-third edition. The book contains the works of the college's leading poetry and prose writers. Lecture on Maya The archaeological treasures of Mexico will be the subject of the May lecture, the last in the season's series, at the Charles W. Bowers Memorial Museum tonight at 8 o'clock. Lloyd M.
