Rabbi M. C. Fierman Slates Celebration
Rabbi Morton C. Fierman of Temple Beth Sholom of Orange County will celebrate two decades of service in the rabbinate tomorrow evening at temple services.
He was ordained May 24, 1941, at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, at which time he received the M.H.I. degree conferred by the former president of the college, Dr. Julian Morgenstern.
Rabbi Fierman received his A.B. degree from Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio; an M.A. from Tulsa University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and an Ed.E. degree from Arizona State University at Tempe. He served in the Air Force as a chaplain during World War II. He has been the rabbi of Temple Beth Sholom of Orange County since Jan. 1, 1957.
YMCA Invites Holland Member
Wilbert Bonney, YMCA World Service Committee chairman, announced this week that all plans had been completed and final Board of Directors approval had been granted for the Anaheim YMCA to bring to this community a young member of the staff of the YMCA in Amster-local staff in the role of a trainee for one year.
Miss Nan Elzinga has accepted the invitation and will arrive in Anaheim about mid-September to work under the guidance of the local staff in dam. Holland, to serve with the study of women and girls in the YMCA.

On the same evening Rabbi Fierman will consecrate the new officers and board of the Temple Sisterhood, headed by Mrs. Melville Singer of Garden Grove, and Orange County Temple/Youth to be led in the coming year by Robert Glasser of Santa Ana.
Rabbi Fierman will address the congregation on the subject "Two Decades in the Rabbinate."

Beth Emet Confirms
Temple Beth Emet confirmed five teenagers Sunday, the second eve of Shavuot. Confirmed were: Naomi Borenstein, Alan Hayman, Sandra Klein and Anne Nitzberg of Anaheim and Ronald Leiter of Garden Grove. Rabbi Aaron J. Tofield conducted the ceremony and preached the sermon.
Soprano — Frances McCann, recently signed to sing with the San Francisco Opera Company, will be soloist at the installation tea to be held by the Anaheim Ebell Club June 5 at 1:30 p.m. The musical program will be "Favorite Songs of Famous Singers." Mrs. Bernard W. Jordan is the new president.

optimists to Have Benefit On June 19
Optimist Clubs of Orunity, in conjunction with the Jo-An Burdick Studio, will present a two-hour show called "America the Beautiful" at the Anaheim Union High School on Monday, June 19, at 11:30 a.m.
This will be a special mati-nee for crippled, handicapped and exceptional youngsters from the various hospitals and centers in the area. All proceeds from two evening performances scheduled for June 19 and 20 will be equally divided among several youth organization funds, as this entire effort is a non-profit venture.
All service clubs in Anaheim have been invited to participate in helping to transport the children to this special mati-nee. Several celebrities, including Dale Evans and Roy Rogers, have been invited to attend this community affair as
