Teenage Club Plan Activities Local Scouts Begin Sale of O-Rama Tickets Scouts and Cubs from the Anaheim, Valencia, Walter knott and Los Ranchos Districts, which form the Northern Orange County Council of Boy Scouts, are industriously selling With the end of school drawing near, the teenage clubs being sponsored by the Anaheim Park and Recreation Department have many activities yet to come. On May 20 the eighth graders will have a beach party, spending all day at the beach. May 26 ninth graders will be entertained by a dance in the Begin Sale of O-Rama Tickets Scouts and Cubs from the Anaheim, Valencia, Walter knott and Los Ranchos Districts, which form the Northern Orange County Council of Boy Scouts, are industriously selling tickets to their forthcoming June Scout-O-Rama, it was announced today by William W. Wright, chairman of the annual event. Wright said that more than 6,000 boys in scouting and some 2250 adult leaders have laid the groundwork for the big event to be held June 2 and 3 in Anaheim's La Palma Stadium. He explained that the Scout-O-Rama gives boys the opportunity to display to parents and friends the variety of knowledge and crafts learned in the programs of cubbing, scouting and exploring. Wright said, "Each of the myriad booths to be created by units depict a phase of the scout program thus giving the people of our communities a chance to share in the fun, excitement and citizenship of scouting in action." May 12 the seventh graders will have a sock hop in the Fremont gym, with prizes being given for the various types of socks worn. On May 20 the eighth graders will have a beach party, spending all day at the beach. May 26 ninth graders will be entertained by a dance in the Orangeview gym, from 7 to 10 p.m. The seventh graders will also have a beach party May 26. On June 10 all three clubs will journey up to Mount Baldy for a fun-filled day of skiing, hiking and a dance until 8 in the evening. This will wind it up for the clubs this year. Next year the clubs will again go into action with the membership being open to any student in the seventh to ninth grades and attending school in the Anaheim Union High School District. For further information concerning this program, you can contact the Anaheim Park and Recreation Department at KE 5-4213, extension 85, 86 or 23.
