ducted in the 420 churches that comprise the Southern California-Arizona Conference. Funds will be divided $1,500,000 for new churches and $1,000,000 for Cal Western, a rapidly growing seven-year-old Methodist-related university with an enrollment of 1,650 students.
Preliminary research has shown denominational leaders that 241 to 722 new churches must be founded by 1970 if the Southern California-Arizona Conference is to keep pace with population growth.
In Orange County, this will mean 25 to 66 new churches by 1970.
