The course is conducted by Charles W. Moore, a family finance counselor with 25 years' experience in helping families solve money problems. He is author of the book "Why Your Money Never Seems to Reach," and has been a guest speaker at the American Institute of Family Relations, Long Beach State College, and at UCLA. Moore contends that trying to follow a complicated "ideal" budget that never balances is almost as bad as keeping no records at all, and shows class members a simple way to get a complete and accurate picture of their financial situation and how to re-arrange debts and payments to remedy a current difficulty and avoid future problems. He warns that indiscriminate "consolidation" of debts is often an expensive prelude to future worries. SHE LOOKED AT THE WORLD THROUGH RED COLORED GLASSES UNTIL... SHE SAW...
