HOLIDAY SPORTS Events Listed
Lloyd Trapp, superintendent of recreation of the Anaheim Park and Recreation Department, has announced that a Free Throw Tournament and a Two-Man Basketball Tournament are being held during the holidays.
Both of the events are being held at the Brookhurst, Anaheim, Western and Orangeview gymn this week, continuing through Saturday, December 31. The Anaheim High School gym is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the other gyms from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In the Free Tournament participants take 100 shots at the basket from the free throw line. Winners are decided on the highest number of successful attempts.
Those wishing to enter the Two-Man Basketball Tournament will be signed up at one of the gyms. Play in this event will start the following week. This tournament is a single elimination affair.
Anyone desiring additional information concerning the holiday sports program may obtain such by calling the Anaheim Park and Recreation Department, KE 5-4213.

ARREST 30 PER DAY
During 1953, members of the California Highway Patrol arrested 13,884 drivers who were under the influence of alcohol. This is an average of 1157 per month, or 87 per day. This is an increase of 6.0 per cent compared to the previous year.

Bids are required for the entire work described herein.
Plans, specifications, and proposal forms to be used for bidding on this project can only be obtained at the office of the State Highway Engineer, Public Works Building, Sacramento, California.
Plans and specifications may be seen at the office of the State Highway Engineer at Sacramento, at the offices of the District Engineers at Los Angeles and San Francisco, and at the office of the District Engineer of the district in which the work is situated.
No bid will be considered unless it is made on a blank form furnished by the State Highway Engineer and is made in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications and special provisions. Each bidder must be licensed and also prequalified as required by law.
The Department of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Abbreviations used in the schedule of predetermined wage rates in conjunction with employer payments listed in the right hand columns are identified as follows:

Copies of all collective bargaining agreements relating work as set forth in the mentioned Labor Code are available for inspection office of the Department of Public Relations, Division of Statistics and Research.
Attention is directed to 7-1.01G of the Standard Spirions providing for employee apprentices on the work, such apprentices shall be paid standard wage paid under the regulations of that at which he is employed. Instruction relative to employment apprentices shall be obtained by Director of the Department Industrial Relations, who Administrative Officer of the forma Apprenticeship Council.
Pursuant to the provision Section 1770 of the Labor Law of the State of California, the department of Public Works certained the general rate of wages and employees for health and welfare cessions, pension and similar poses in the county in which work is to be done to be allowed.

AUERBACH—Henry B., 76, of 1906 Amboy St. Services were connapped by Backs-Roatman & Kauibars Mortuary, with interment in Loma Vista Cemetery, Auerbach. One of the original engineers in the construction of the Anama Canal, Mr. Auerbach died December 16. He leaves his wife, Jane, and a daughter, Mrs. Doris Tassese, of this city.

Alien Address Reports Are Due During January
George K. Rosenberg, district director of the United States immigration and Naturalization Service, estimated yesterday that 310,000 aliens residing in Southern California will report their address during January 1961, under the Alien Address Report Program. Noncitizens are required to file the address report each January.
Aliens who are temporarily out of the United States during January also must report their address within 10 days after their return, Rosenberg said.
Address report cards will be available at the Immigration Service office, 510 South Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, and at local post offices beginning January 3.

Employer payments other than those itemized herein, as defined in Section 173.1 of the Labor Code, are to be paid in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement applicable to the type or classification of the workman or mechanics employed on the project.
Overtime, Sundays and Holidays not less than one and one-half times the basic hourly rate applicable employer payments. Attention is directed to Section 1.01G of the Standard Specifications providing for employment of apprentices on the work. Every such apprentice shall be paid the standard wage paid to apprentices under the regulations of the trade which he is employed. Information relative to employment of apprentices shall be obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, who is the Administrative Officer of the California Apprenticeship Council.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Department of Public Works has established the general prevailing state of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes in the county in which the work is to be done to be as follows:
