Why do you go to church?
Do you go to church because you are afraid of what will happen to you here and in the hereafter if you don't?
Do you go to church because you feel it is good for business and social reasons?
Do you go to church just for the sake of your children?
Do you go to church to display your Sunday go-to-meeting clothes?
Do you go to church because you like the social activities you find there?
If your answer is "yes" to any one of these questions your church doesn't need you, but you need church.
You need God every day, His power, His guidance, His love. You need to put away your earthly thoughts and reasons for attending church. Open your mind and your heart, listen to your pastor's weekly message, follow along the Scripture in your own Bible.
Work and serve your church. Say to yourself, "I need church. How can I serve so that church and God will need me?"
