The Woman's World SECTION A, PAGE 5 Fight Cancer With Memoriai Gifts Now More and more as the needless deaths from cancer are statistically tabulated, people from every walk of life, touched by these losses, are doing something about the fight against cancer by giving "Memorial Gifts to the Living" to the American Cancer Society, it was noted today by J. VFW Auxiliary Plans Yule Party Success of the recent bazaar and bake sale was reported by Helen Maas, ways and means chairman, at the recent meeting of the Auxiliary of the VFW. Ann Stakemiller, president, presided. Plans were made for a potluck dinner and gift exchange at 6 p.m. preceding the next regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 12. Cypress Ave. Two On Committee Two Anaheim residents were named to the music advisory Five Zion Choirs To Give Concert Here This Sunday The 60-voice A Cappella Choir of Zion Lutheran Church, Anaheim, assisted by four choirs of Zion Lutheran School will present their annual Christmas Candlelight Concert in the church, Emily at Chartres (one block north of Center St.), on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 4:45 and 7:45 p.m. Choirs are under the direction of M. C. Schlieske, minister of music at Zion Church. Lucille Oldenburg will do the solo in "Lullaby on Christmas Eve," by F. M. Christiansen. Gene Hill, president of the choir, said the climax of the program would be a mass chorus of 190 voices. The audience will also have an opportunity to join in the singing of some Christmas carols.
