New Freeway Link To Open Monday A new link of the San Diego Freeway between Capistrano Beach and San Clemente in Orange County is being readied for opening to traffic on Nov. 7. The project is 7.8 miles in length and cost $6,503,400 to build. It includes the following structures: Avenida El Monte Undercrossing, Avenida Palizada Undercrossing, Avenida Pico Undercrossing, Reeves Ranch Road Overcrossing, Forster Ranch Road Undercrossing, Camino de la Estrella Overcrossing, Via California Overcrossing, Sierra Onramp Undercrossing and Camino Capistrano Undercrossing. Another feature of the freeway construction is a southbound climbing lane for slow-moving trucks, extending eight-tenths mile between Avenida Pico and Avenida El Monte. This fourth lane will facilitate passing by higher speed traffic. The new freeway, started in April 1959, will bypass the old El Camino Real highway and connect with previously completed projects in San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano. STRIKE A AT THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNIST CONGRESS BY VOTING FOR ORANGE No. 1 COMMUNIS The well-known pattern of Communist aggression, so effectively used in Cuba, is clearly evident in the 28th Congressional District. He has been marked for political extinction by the International Communist conspiracy because he has had the courage to expose their activities in our Congressional District. Think of what you saved today, Jim! Insurance money can't replace what you came near losing. Fortunately, the fire was nothing because municipal bonds gave your community the cash to put engines, equipment and firefighters near your house.
