B4-Anaheim Gazette (Anaheim, Thursday, Sep. 16, 1937) ODDLY ENOUGH A true Aran sweater—with a three hundred year-old design—has the marital status of the wearer, number of male children in his family and the identity of the knitter—all in the pattern. Sweaters for women were practically unheard of until the turn of the century. The sweater was the only garment that gave a woman freedom of movement during the bicycle craze in the Gay Nineties. Through the years sweaters have had a steady growth in popularity. They have become fashionable as day and evening wear for every member of the family. The days of Sept. 19-25 have been set aside as National Sweater Week to show the garment's versatility. Fifteen Graduate LEGAL NOTICE BERG, M.D., known to me to be the nation's most famous doctor. Fifteen Graduate From Fullerton JC Nursing Program Fifteen Fullerton Junior College vocational nursing students participated in the 18th annual Vocational Nursing graduation ceremonies held in the college student center on Friday, Sept. 2. Four other students were formally capped in ceremonies indicative of successful completion of the probationary period. Commencement speaker was Walter J. Pray, director of the district division of personnel services, who spoke on the topic "You and Your Job." Other participating in the graduation were Gortion, who presided; the Rev. C. don R. Melgren, dean of instrucEllsworth Wilson of the First Methodist Church of Fullerton, who gave the invocation and benediction; James R. Ratcliffe, president of the district Board of Trustees, who presented graduation certificates; Mrs. Olive Morris, director of the vocational nursing program, who presented pins to graduates; and Mrs. Margaret Rooney and Mrs. John Morrison, clinical instructors, who capped nurses. Graduates were Ruby Calacurcio of Fullerton, Catherine Clemmer of Buena Park, Andrea Delpozo of Fullerton, Anita Garcia of La Habra, Margaret Homberg of Orange, Helen Koel of Cypress, Virginia Moreno of Buena Park, Norma Nichols of Buena Park, Janice Short of La Habra, Amelia Small of Fullerton, Eloise Stark of Buena Park, Dorothy Van Voele.
