Stanford Alumni Form Local Club
L. H. Loudon of Anaheim been elected president of the newly-formed North Orange County Stanford Alumni Club, according to an announcement by Rossson, nominating committee man.
The Alumni Club is formed in the area and represents more than 500 graduates and sons foremarly affiliated with university.
Loudon said, "The basic aim of the club are to make avail contact with those who attend Stanford, to publicize the university and acquaint persons ested in attending with ent requirements and aiding cants in gaining entrance scholarships. The club will work on fund raising for the Ford general fund."
The first major project held by the club will be a dance Sept. 9 in the Ma Room of the Disneyland Hotel.
All former associate friends of the university are invited to attend.
SHAPELY LINDA MORRIS, Miss World Softball, matches skill with All-American Ace softball hurler Jack Randall. The World Series Softball Championships open play Aug. 27 at Park Ave. Field in Long Beach State champion teams from throughout the United States. Canada and Mexico will vie to wrest the world title from defending Long Beach Nitehawks.

The duplicate bridge game held in Disneyland Hotel each Monday afternoon is the largest afternoon at the hotel where one may comgame in Orange County.
Monday has become Bridge Day pete in duplicate bridge, receive bridge instruction, or just watch the participants.
Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Wilkirson, 817 W. Wilhelmina St., Anaheim, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Miss Carol Wilkirson, to Robert Sipple of La Habra. The wedding is set for Dec. 17 in Zion Lutheran Church Anahaim.
Carold graduated from Anaheim High and attended Fullerton Junior College. She is now a hostess with United Airlines.
The prospective bridegroom is now working for his secondary teaching credential at University of California at Santa Barbara.
An exhibit of oil paintings by Dr. Hester Olewiler of Santa Ana will be shown at the Charles W. Bowers Memorial Museum from Sept. 3 through Oct. 3.
Dr. Olewiler especially likes Latin America for inspiration and compositions.
Six new outbreaks in polio reported in Orange County has caused a new county-wide immunization plan to be pushed in industrial plants and public clinics.
Wedding plans have been announced by Carollee E. Cross, 858 S. Philadelphia, Anaheim, and Donald L. Nash of Norwalk.
Planning a trip to the altar are Renee L. Stevens, 91 N.4 Claudina, Anaheim, and Walter Morrison of Lakewood.

The Orange County Bar Auxiliary has planned an oriental theme for their annual Fall Membership Coffee to be given Sept. 10.
Miss Jilene Roberta Owen, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. R. W. Owen of Anaheim was wed to Ronald Max Miller last Friday evening in the Church of the Reflections at Knott's Berry Farm. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller of Anaheim.
The bride was radiant in her gown of Chantilly lace. She carried a white orchid surrounded by stephanotis.
The bride was a member of the first graduating class from Western High School, Anaheim. The bridegroom is associated with Southland X-ray Co., in Orange. They will maek their home at 1545 Walnut St. Anaheim, following their honeymoon at Big Bear Lake.

The work of 15 artists of the Westminster Art Association will be on exhibit at a reception to be held Sunday, Sept. 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Peek Family Colonial Terrace Room, 7801 Bolsa Ave., Midway City. The public is invited to attend.
The Welcome Strangers Club held a fashion show and luncheon meeting in the Royal Hawaiian Restaurant in Anaheim.

Palm Harbor Hospital Guild members and friends have been invited to attend the "It Could Be You" television program at NBC studios in Hollywood on Sep. 15. Two buses have been chartered for the occasion.

Jean Ray Married in Setting of Capilla de San Antonio Chapel
The former Mrs. Jean Ray of Anaheim became the bride of Murray E. McIvor of Newport Beach in the early California setting of Capilla de San Antonio wedding chapel in Anaheim last Sunday evening.
The bride's father, Rev. Jesse Drinen of Oklahoma, officiated at the nuptials.
For the ceremony she selected a dress of beige chiffon over taffeta skirt with brown velvet bodice. Her accessories were beige-White chrysanthemums and carnations flanked on either side with candles decorated the altar.
Mrs. John Canepa of Elm was matron of honor.
John Canepa was best mester.
The bride's mother wore a green linen with raspberrycessories and a white gladiator sage.
The bridegroom's mother attired in royal blue lace white accessories. Her cousin of pink carnations.

Mrs. John King Is New Moose Regent
Mrs. John King is the newly installed senior regent of Anaheim women of the Moose, Chapter 73, succeeding Mrs. Calvin Boyd who is now junior graduate reat.

Membership Tea Set For Minerva Chapter
Lancer's Restaurant at Anaheim will be the scene of a membership tea in September sponsored by Minerva Chapter, American Business Women's Association. Plans for the event were disclosed at the latest meeting of the group held bride, presided at the guest book.
The two departed for a week-long honeymoon in San Francisco, after which they are to be at home at 711 W. Bellevue Dr., Anaheim.

Crimes involving checks total 5,000 a day in Orange County alone, Sgt. C. Peterson of the forgery detail, Orange County Sheriff's Dept., told members of Minerva Chapter at the meeting.
Sgt. Peterson spoke on the topic "What Is Needed for Successful Prosecution of a Case?" at the chapter meeting. He said 15 percent of the bad checks written are legitimate, written by persons with insufficient funds in the bank.
