50 Entries For Industrial Show Fifty industries from eight Orange County cities signed up to exhibit their products in the second annual Orange County Industrial Exposition within two weeks after space was made available. George Colouris, producer of the county's only industrial spectacular, said a good cross-section of county industry is already represented. "We feel this is an indication that this year's show will be able to offer the public and those connected with industry a graphic picture of the progress Orange County industries are making," Colouris said. To date, Anaheim leads in the number of signups with nine, Colouris said. Santa Ana is next with seven. Last year 80 booths were made available. This year, 170 booths will be set up. The Industrial Exposition, sponsored by the Associated Chambers of Commerce of Orange County, was held for the first time last year and drew more than 58,000 people. Mike Gould, Exposition Committee chairman for Associated Chambers, said an even larger attendance is anticipated, when the show is held Oct. 5-9 in the Commercial Exhibits Building at the Orange County Fairgrounds. Congressman Judd To Address OC GOP The Hon, Walter H. Judd, Congressman from Minnesota and keynote speaker at the 1960 Republican National Convention in Chicago, will address a dinner meeting of 1,000 Orange County Republicans at the Balboa Bay Club on Thursday, Sept. 15, it was announced this week by C. Wiliard Key, Fullerton. Key is chairman of the Orange County Republican Central Committee. The dinner, a $50-per-plate affair, will provide operating funds for the upcoming general election campaign in Orange County, Key said. "We are extremely fortunate in having the distinguished congressman from Minnesota as our featured speaker," Key continued. "His performance at the national convention was a brilliant one, and made it clear to everyone that Judd is a member of the GOP's first team." A general chairman for the poolside dinner will be named within a few days, according to the County chairman, and detailed arrangements are now under way at Republican headquarters in Santa Ana. County Farm Bureau Nixes Proposition 15 Reapportionment of the State Senate of California as proposed in Proposition No. 15 is also opposed by the Orange County Farm Bureau, a statement from that organization points out. At the same time the group proudly states that County Farm Bureau Nixes Proposition 15 Reapportionment of the State Senate of California as proposed in Proposition No. 15 is also opposed by the Orange County Farm Bureau, a statement from that organization points out. At the same time the group proudly states that it took this action concerning this specific proposal away back in September of 1959, and has just recently reiterated its stand by a unanimous vote of the board of directors. The resolution as approved last September was carried to the state convention of the California Farm Bureau Federation last November and was approved by that state. Farm Bureau is now in the statewide organization, also. The forefront of the campaign to secure a "No" vote on the reapportionment proposal, No. 15. The original resolution in September stated that the "present established policy ... of the Federal formula of senatorial representation ... has proven sound and equitable and, despite some possible objections, we should not change our policy at this time." At the time of the original resolution, Secretary C. J. Marks points out, Proposition No. 15 had not qualified for the ballot. One reason for opposing it was that it might harm the campaign to secure passage of the Water Bonds which are counted upon to save the future of Southern California through providing water for home, factories and farms. Proposition No. 1 on the fall ballot embraces this water program. N DE KAMP'S BAKERIES KABC THURS., FRI., SAT., SUN., AUGUST 25-26-27-28 GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION SALE K RIBS 49¢ lb.
