The use of solar-selecting glass block helps lighten the load in the kitchen. The glass block wall behind the cupboard provides natural illumination for what might otherwise be a dark or poorly lit cabinet and eliminates groping for glassware. The block admits plenty of natural daylight without transmitting any of the glare or heat from the hotter, brighter sun's rays. From the exterior, the glass block has an attractive, modern look that blends easily with various types of architecture and landscaping.
