Try this attractive spot and you won't be disappointed. If you like frog legs the ROBERTS ROOM is the place to go. They're served with soup, tossed green salad and rolls. Only $3.00 for this very enjoyable treat. A matinee is featured daily from 2 to 7 with Bob Morris at the keyboard. Don West is at the piano nightly. Both do a real fine job. Joe Roberts is planning a real swinging affair for St. Patrick's day (with corned beef and cabbage served after 9:30 p.m.). For terrific Australian broiled lobster tail go to HAL GREGG'S STEAK HOUSE. Only $3.50 and served with soup, salad, choice of potatoes, roll and coffee. All this and dancing too. Be sure to catch the fashion shows. Lady Fair Dress Shop Models are featured Tuesday evening at 7:30 and Muriels Dress Shop Models are featured Friday noon. Had dinner last evening at APPLE VALLEY STEAK HOUSE. I had halibut steak, the best I've ever eaten. It's served with their famous roquefort salad, clam chowder, variety of home made bread and melba toast. This is one of the most famous dining spots in Long Beach. Your host is Charlie Dodd. I recommend it for an inexpensive evening. The KETTLE RESTAURANT is still featuring fashion shows every Tuesday evening at 7:30 given by Hi-Top fashion models. Enjoy the show with organ music by delightful Janet Henderson. The food here is always delicious. Remember to try their chicken and dumping sepecial on Sunday. Your debonair host is Frank Belia. Took a friend to CROW'S RESTAURANT in Long Beach the other evening. We were delightfully entertained by Emile Williams at the piano. The service was superb (my favorite waitress is Mary). Long Beach councilman Bob Crow is a fabulous host. Whether you prefer Chinese or American food you can't go wrong here. Try their tender ginger beef with oyster sauce, a great treat. DE PALMA'S LITTLE ITALY is sensational for Italian food. I stop here at least once a week. One of my favorite dinners is lasagne casserole with Italian sausage or chicken (made to order). Served with a huge tureen of soup (all you can eat), a luscious salad, antipasto, bread and beverage. You'll want to go back to this famous spot again and again. The JOLLY KNIGHT is the spot in Garden Grove famous for steaks. This is one of the favorite spots of the businessmen of this area (both for luncheons and dinners). Herb Larson, at the piano, entertains nightly. PAUL'S RESTAURANT on Garden Grove Blvd. still features those choice steaks from the broiler. Top sirloin or porterhouse $1.95 New York or filet rent for steaks. Not they have wonderful No-porterhouse, etc., but on thru Thursday they feature cettes of beef (tender steak broiled on a skewer peppers, onions, and mushrooms). You will too. TIMPONE'S on Brookhurst features luscious Italian dishes. One of my favorite dinners is Mostaccioli with choice of tomato sauce, meat sauce, meat balls, sausage, or mushroom sauce (priced from $1.10 to $1.50). On Tuesday nights one of their specials is a half spaghetti and ravioli dinner. Served with burgundy wine, salad, french bread, dessert and beverage. All for $1.45. Children's orders 20c less. They also have food to go. The TWIN FLAMES SUPPER CLUB in Long Beach is the place for that 80c steak dinner (Yes, I said 80c). This do it yourself steak fry is served with all the salad and garbanzo beans you wish... The TWIN FLAMES is a real cute restaurant-bar with a cozy atmosphere... Stop in. PAUL'S RESTAURANT on Garden Grove Blvd. still features those choice steaks from the broiler... Top sirloin or porterhouse $1.95... New York or filet mignon $2.25... Served with a relish plate, baked potato with cheese and chives and garlic bread... I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed... Try it. Bill Farrell, a terrific guy at the keyboard, plays nightly at CERO'S (a cute little spot on Euclid).
