S. Senate "against the people and their progress," Democratic party presidential aspirant Hubert Humphrey charged here recently. Humphrey said that seven tie-breaking votes cast by Nixon in the senate have "all been against the people and their progress." HUMPHREY spoke before an Orange County Democratic dinner in Santa Ana following a press conference in Anaheim. "The vice president votes only in a tie," the Minnesota senator said, "and seven times Nixon has broken the hopes of millions of Americans for good, sound, progressive legislation." The most recent example of this, Humphrey said, was when in a tie-breaking situation Nixon voted against the education bill. "Fortunately the next day the bill passed," he added. HUMPHREY criticized Nixon, a native of Orange county, for his vote on bills dealing with economic issues, wage and interest rates and labor programs for a period covering June 18, 1953, to April 22, 1959. County Home Show HUMPHREY criticized Nixon, a native of Orange county, for his vote on bills dealing with economic issues, wage and interest rates and labor programs for a period covering June 18, 1953, to April 22, 1959. County Home Show Opens on April 6 (Photo on Page 1) The model home to be given away at the 1960 Orange County Home Show is under construction at Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa today. Marvin E. Lawrence, young head of the Marvin E. Lawrence Co. of Santa Ana, is the construction contractor in charge of building this year. Lawrence is chairman of the home show which is sponsored by the Orange County Builders association. "It looks as if we'll have the most fabulous home show in Orange county history," said Lawrence, when he reported to the job site to drive the first nail in construction of the model home. Almost 80 per cent of the exhibit space in the 30,000 square foot Commercial Exhibits building, which houses the annual home show, already is sold, according to Lawrence. Hundreds of displays of goods and services for the home, patio and garden are expected to draw interest of thousands of visitors to the sixth annual edition of the big show. The possibility the show's floor plan will be expanded, currently under discussion, will make it the largest show of its kind ever staged in the county. The 1960 show is set for April 6 through 10 at the Costa Mesa fairgrounds. Focal point of the show is the model home constructed each year on the fairgrounds. Students of the building construction class at Orange Coast college are handling much of the carpentry in the construction project. John Potter, instructor of the class, is in charge Loan Manager, Girls Injured in New Automobile Richard M. The trio was taken to Anaheim Memorial hospital for treatment. Driver of the 2½-ton truck was identified by the California highway patrol as Jules Ressegue, 34, of La Habra.
