A. D. Penhall of Anaheim received the general contract for both projects at $18,585. Other contracts went to Sam Kingsfisher, plumbing. $2,239, Louie Schmetzer, heating and ventilation, $8,950, and Lindsey Electric electrical, $11,700. Additions to the Library building will double the book stack space and add a reading room and outdoor reading area. The additions will also include small rooms for group study and small classes. Science building additions will include two new laboratories, three offices for six instructors, and storage and preparation room. Construction on both additions is to start soon with occupancy scheduled for September this year. The show was part of the OCC community service program in cooperation with manufacturers and distributors of data processing equipment. Coast has a two-year business data processing major and is equipped with one of the most complete business data processing laboratories on any campus. Roger L. Rheem delivered the purchase price of $2,450,000 in a combination of cash and newly issued Rheem common stock to acquire 96 per cent of Ruud common stock. Rheem plans to continue operation of Ruud as a subsidiary for manufacturing water heaters and other products in plants in Michigan and Canada. Rheem has 17 U.S. plants. One is in Fullerton.
