Blasting Caps Taken From Bov
Fullerton police Tuesday said they recovered 50 dangerous blasting caps from a juvenile who had brought them into the city from Las Vegas.
Officers said a youth surrendered the explosive devices after a public appeal that they be handed over was made.
Youngsters have admitted, police said, setting off 15 of the caps.
The police plea was made after the handlebars of a bicycle were shattered by exploding one of the caps.
Officers said that the detonation of the caps have become a new fad of the younger set.

"The reason children do not get
injured nearly so much by falling
as adults do is that they relax
when falling," says a physician.
Two other reasons are that their
bones are more resilient, and they
don't have as far to fall.
One reason that reading is such
a chore is because so many writers have so little to say.
