Murdock and Clyde Cromer retiring president of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, heard an explanatory talk by Sunt. Shanks in which he explained certain uniformities in TV instruction of benefit to the teachers. Six Monitors Used For this, TV lessons may be beamed to numerous teachers say many first grade instructors at the same time. The correlation here will not only aid the teacher in instructing her pupils but will also prevent overlapping; for instance, by a second grade instructor. There is a $200 biocome handy through which the TV can show pupils the bone structure of a small insect or the fluid flowing through green leaves. The study of science is abetted by such usage and also by other modern means of projection. Supt. Shanks incidentally showed copies of California missions made by the pupils to be used in TV study of California history. These however are made at home as he believes as much of the social studies should be accomplished in the homes and not directly in the schools. Four lessons can be projected simultaneously with the present equipment. Learn About City Supt. Shanks also believes that TV can be used extensively to educate teachers and pupils about ADD-A-ROOM REMODELING R.O.M. BUILDING CONTRACTORS, INC. For instance, in one lesson about "Pioneer Days," the texts for follow-up questions include "Life in America," "Land of Freedom," "Children of Colonies," "America's Frontier." The World Book, Britannica and "America in Story." The visitors were carried from the Anaheim City School District headquarters to Jefferson School in a school bus. Later in the school year there will be demonstrations of a similar nature for the general public.
