New Fullerton Plant Will Use 800 Employes
American Electronic, Inc., sister plant to the American Laboratories Division, located in Southeast Fullerton, plans a new 90,-000-square foot production facility and offices on a 20-acre plot on Acacia Ave., purchased four years ago.
Output of the new plant will reach $15 million yearly at peak production. Initial employment will be 400, gradually increasing to 800 employees. Completion of plant is scheduled for next June, according to Phillip W. Zonne, company president.
At the same time, American Laboratories Division in Fullerton will add another 10,000 square feet to its plant facilities.
One of Nine Plants
Moving into the new American Electronics plant will be the static and rotary power products lines of the Electric Machinery and Equipment Division, presently located in El Monte, and the entire Electro-Mechanic Division, now occupying two plants in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles plant will be abandoned.
Products of the division include motors used to drive radar seeker heads, blowers for cooling electronic components and equipment for guided missile systems, gear boxes and other defense industry products.

Newspaper Hall of Fame Winners
Will Be Announced This Friday
The 1959 winners of the California Newspaper Hall of Fame projects will be honored at an awards dinner to be held in the Clift Hotel. San Francisco tomorrow night. This yearly event is sponsored by the California Press Association as a feature of its annual two-day conference.
Thomas M. Storke, publisher of the Santa Barbara News-Press for more than 50 years, will be the speaker. Lowell E. Jessen, of the Livermore Herald and chairman of the Hall of Fame project, will preside.
Headed by Justus F. Craemer of the San Rafael Independent other officers of the sponsoring organization include Vice President Fred McPherson of the Santa Cruz Sentinel: Secretary Bert Abraham, co-publisher of the Anaheim Gazette; and Treasurer Phillip N. McCombs, general manager of Allen's Press Clipping Bureau. San Francisco.
Launched in 1957 following a suggestion made by John H. McCoy, director of the USC School of Journalism, seven winners have previously been selected for the Hall of Fame.
Those Already Chosen
Three selected in 1957 included Walter Colton, James King of William, and Robert B. Semple, all having been active in California journalism prior to 1860. Last year the honorees were Charles and M. H. de Young, founders of the San Francisco Chronicle; Samuel Brannan, early-day editor of the California Star; and William S. Green, dean of provincial editors in California for more than 40 years, who served as publisher of the Colusa Sun.

Fish Installed Heads of Realtors
During a banquet at Anaheim Bowl last night Theodore B. Fish of the Rancho Lane Realty, was installed president of the Anaheim Board of Realtors for 1960. Glenn A. Burchett of Approved Homes Realty, was installed vice president, and Glenn Martin of Glenn Martin Realtor, as secretary-treasurer. Retiring president is Raymond G. Spehar. Fish was vice president and Burchett secretary-treasurer for 1959.
Installing officer was W. V. Harris of Santa Ana and master of ceremonies Clive Graham of Long Beach, past president of the California Real Estate Association. Mimi Martel, television and recording singing artist, entertained.

Leaders Attend
Fullerton Confab
Teachers and administrators from throughout Orange County met on the Fullerton Junior College campus Tuesday for the annual winter California Teachers Association Field Conference.
Dr. Frederick Mayer of the University of Redlands was guest speaker at the evening meeting which was held in the District Auditorium and which was open to the public.
Opening sessions of the Field Conference begin at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium, following which those attending joined in ten small group meetings to discuss such matters as public relations, discipline, professional relations, out-state recruiting, and teacher credentialing.
In addition to some 500 elementary, secondary, and college teachers and administrators attending the conference, boards of trustees from a number of county districts were represented and the Elementary Principals Association held its regular monthly meeting as a part of the Field Conference.

Centralia School Plans Approved
Final plans for the Centralia School District's eighth school, to be built at 320 Danbrook, south of Lincoln Ave. in Anaheim, and near Western High School, have been approved by the Board of Trustees, according to William Almand, president.
The new school will probably be named by board members at the next regular meeting Dec. 14. Notice of completion of the Oro Grande School, 8301 Mars Dr., has been officially accepted.
Bids for Warehouse
Bids on construction of a warehouse in which to store election supplies for the North Orange county area are being considered by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Eight bids have been submitted for the project to be constructed at the headquarters of the County Agricultural Department. Apparent low bidder is Harris and Denner, $20,595.
