"Do not use reading as a punishment," urged Mrs. McCall. A parent should stimulate an interest in reading by encouraging the child to read books that relate to his current interests or hobbies, such as stamps, coins or baseball. Sterling invited any parent, terested in coaching or maging a team, to attend meetings to be held at J Marshall School in the near future. Girl Scout Troop No. 45 og ed the meeting with the salute, and Ben Mattox, school principal, led the group community singing. Fifth grade mothers were hostesses for evening. The next meeting, which will include a toy party, will be held at Mrs. Dresser's home at 1914 E. Willow St. on Nov. 21 and will combine a ways and means project and chapter social. Mrs. T. W.
