Orange County ASC Nominations Announced, With Vote Nov 20-Dec. 2
Nominating the required ten farmers for the five county committeemen to direct the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation program, U. S. Department of Agriculture in Orange County during 1959-60, has been made by the Orange County Election Board, according to Eric E. Eastman, Election Board secretary. The board comprises Ray Beem, chairman; Ray Prothero and Max Hoeptner.
The nominees consist first, of the present five members of the ASC County Committee; namely R. Cecil Farnsworth, Joseph R. Callens, Ernest H. Gisler, Ernest L. Danker and Glenn A. Harris; and secondly of the following five farmers: Howard T. Gould, field crop producer of the Irvine area; Jack M. Hubbard, field crop producer of the Hunting Beach area; Edward Ruoff, Jr., field crops from the Westminster area; Marco F. (Tom) Forster, livestock producer of the San Juan Capistrano area; and George H. Rasmussen, citrus grower of the Tustin area.
The five receiving the largest number of votes will be elected: the one with the most, chairman, the second, vice-chairman; then in order, regular member, first and second alternates.
Names Can Be Added
Those ten nominations, Eastman said, were intended by the committee to include representation from all agriculturally important parts of the county as well as all important crops. Present committee represents all the important agricultural products of New Water Pump Boon to District

Local Man Makes President's Club
The Lincoln National Life Insurance Co., Ft. Wayne, Ind., has informed its Anaheim representative, N. Doyle Ford that he has again paid in excess of $1,000,000 of new business for the year and has qualified for the top producers club known as the "President's Club."
In the past month Ford has ranked second in the United States in the amount of paid premiums on new business. He is a member of the J. Nelson Agency of Los Angeles and has been local representative for more than

Another pump, in the Placentia-La Jolla area, will be operating in about three weeks. This 250-horsepower pump will have a 2,500 gallon a minute capacity.
Incidentally, Herb Strandt, assistant water superintendent for the Public Utilities Department, cautions Anaheim residents not to waste water, especially in watering lawns and then forgetting to shut off the water—in time.
