Choral Group Still Takes Registration Registration for the Fullerton Junior College Evening Chorale is still open, according to Kenneth Helvey, director. The group, which put on a series of concerts during the year, held its first rehearsal last Monday with "a fine beginning group." Manufacturing Division for United Fund Ahead of Last Year's Pledges The Anaheim United Fund's goal of $100,000 for its manufacturing division for this year has gotten off to a fine start with employee subscriptions of $12,000 from Hughes Aircraft Co. The records of the local United Fund reveal that among the manufacturing groups doing a good job last year with the 'United Plan' of solicitation and contributed to one of the most successful United Fund Campaigns in California were these several outstanding examples of community cooperation: "Donate Once a Month Club," although working outside of Anaheim, but living in this area, designated $2,743 of their subscritions to the United Fund of this area. One hundred percent of the employees of the Menasha Container Corporation, representing 246 in number last year, subscribed $1.993 to establish one of the most outstanding records in last year's campaign with average gifts of $19.94. Employees of North American Aviation Cmouany, through their employee subscriptions of $12,000 from Hughes Aircraft Co. Employees of the Hallamore Electric Company contributed $3,899 last year. He Came Before Zoning, But Still Can't Get New C-1 Arthur Roquet and his grocerv store at 754 to 760 N. Lemon St. today are losers again in another round with city councilmen. Residents again protested Roquet's desire for change of zone from R-3 to C-1 which would permit him to operate a laundramat at his present location. Roquet has been operating the neighborhood grocery store before adoption of a zoning ordinance in Anaheim. Newly appointed Councilman Joe Thompson said he could not vote for the zone change because adequate parking was not provided for the proposed laundry.
