TERRY, 1807 Bakersfield California. Purchasing contract requesting permission to BUILD A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE ON THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BY: MELBOURNE A. GAUER Chairman. DATE: August 24, 1959 (Sex Education) (Continued from Page 1) which discuss venereal diseases and sex hormones. Cook took issue with a Gazette interview with Lowell Jones district curriculum that new course will not shy away from questions on sex when it develops. Cook has since emphasized that while instructors will not ignore questions on matters of sex, new health and safety courses not designed for this purpose. UP FOR REVIEW Also up for review by board will be a pamphlet... Professor (Continued from Page 1) on Broadway in the endeavor to break the birds to harness. The novelty of seeing an ostrich in harness is not a new one as Charley Landell frequently hitches one up at the farm alongside a gentle horse, and bird and quadrupel draw a light conveyance about the yard. The latter no doubt doing all the work while the farmer struts along more an ornament than wants to go one better and have anything else. But the professor wants to go one better and have a team of the birds and is confident he will succeed. A year or two of careful training will be required before the birds are thoroughly broken, but in the meantime the professor is thinking of taking out a life insurance. March 19, 1896 It took a jury in Judge Pierce's court on Tuesday afternoon just two minutes to find Prof. Frantz not guilty of the charge of cruelty to animals, in the alleged beating of a pair of ostriches which he has had for some time past in training to drive in single harness and tandem. The professor is training the birds to drive, and on attaining his purpose, may take them on a travelling tour and may enter them in the floral pageant at the Fiesta. He informs us he is making progress and promises to give us a ride in his tandem rig shortly.
