Anaheim Gazette, Aug. 27 and Sept. 4, 1953 RESOUTION NO. 1648 A RESOUTITION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM INITIATING PROCEDURES FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ON ITS OWN MOTION DESIGNATING THE TERritory AND THE BOWLING STREET ANNEXATION BY SCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY, SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. Southerly along the existing City limits line in the point intersection with the Southerly right of way line of La Palma Avenue (40.00 feet wide) formerly known as Corona Street; thence, 2. Easterly along the Southerly right of way line of Coronado Street to the point of intersection with the western right of way line of Dowling Street (40.00 feet wide); thence, 5. Southerly along the Western right of way line of Dowling Street to the point of intersection with the Western prolongation of the Southern line of the North half of the South half of Lot 15, Block K of the said Kraemer Tract; thence, 6. Easterly to the point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: That the proposed annexation be, and it is hereby, initiated on the motion on the City Council of the City of Anaheim and that such proposed annexation be designated "DOWLING" STREET ANNEXATION" and that notice of such proposed annexation be given as hereinafter provided. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be held upon the date set, not less than forty (40) days more than sixty four (60) days after the passage of this issue on motion, unless the owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed file their consent to such annexation, in writing, with the City Council in which event the bearing shall be set at any time after compliance with Section 15311 of the Government Code. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does find that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed to be annexed have not filed their consent to such annexation in writing, with the City Council. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that six days after October 1958, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and where the City Council will hear protests made by any owner or owners of real property within the territory proposed to be annexed be, and the hour set for hearing objections, any owner or property within said territory may file with the City Clerk a written protest against the annexation.
