Average State Fair Visitor Stays Two Days
When you visit the California State Fair and Exposition this year, September 2 through 13, how long will you stay and how much will you see?
The statisticians have the answer for you, based on a study of visitors during the past four years. The average State Fairgoer, their computations show, will spend between five and six hours a day, each day of his visit.
He will (if he's average") return for more than one day. He will first visit the huge Counties Building, home of the elaborate exhibits depicting California counties and will then go to the Hall of Flowers, a perennial habitat of woman Fair visitors.
If the average Fairgoer lives in the Sacramento area he will visit the Fair for three days. The average for visitors from out side the Sacramento area is 1.6 days.
Mr. and Mrs. Average will eat at least one hot dog or hamburger each and consume at least one soft drink. If there are 10 persons in the party, nine of them will drink a soft drink and one of them a cold beer. They will spend an average of $1 at concessions.

Santa Ana to Host Classified Event For Schools Here
Santa Ana city schools will host Orange County's third annual Classified Workshop at the new Valley High School next year, it was disclosed at a meeting held at Centralia School district's administrative center recently. Their new auditorium will seat approximately 1500, it was reported.
Ray Bishop, Howard Lutz and Burrell A. Wilson, spokesman for Santa Ana city schools, said the general chairman and exact date of the workshop would be announced later.
Others at the meeting presided over by Palmer G. Campen, general chairman from Centralia district, were Charles Clifner and Louie La Vine, Westminster; Mrs. Ruth Millikin, Costa Mesa; Mrs. Mary Rodieck, Orange Unified; Mrs. Jeane Thorman, Tustin; Ralph Eby and Bill Arnold, Anaheim city and Herbert Bass, Mmes. Martin Garrett and Shirley Weaver and Miss Beth Kroesen, Centralia district.
Juveniles Cause Damage to Home
It doesn't take much to undo the hard day's work of a housewife.
Just ask Dora E. Ellis of 900 S. Los Angeles St.
She reported to police that someone broke into her home and scattered boxes of clothing, slashed floor carpeting, broke two windows, ripped working of toilet to pieces and smashed the back of the TV set.

Sugar Company Plans Expansion
Representatives of the Anaheim Sugar Company (Peck Interests) met with Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce officials to discuss an overall plan to create 1200 acres north of Smeltzer Avenue extending to the northerly city limits of Huntington Beach and bounded by Bolsa Chica Avenue, for an ultra modern, planned specialized industrial development.
The company presented their plans for a new zoning to create a planned industrial area, a commercial area and a housing development on said acreage owned by the Anaheim Sugar Company.
