Carpenters Auxiliary Officers in Combin
Mayor A. J. Schutte and Fire chief Ed Stringer and Mrs. Stringer were special guests at the impressive tri-city installation ceremony held by the Carpenters Auxiliaries of Costa Mesa, Santa Ana and Anaheim.
The rites took place in the new Carpenters' Hall, Local 2203, in Anaheim. Mrs. Marge Whitely of San Diego, state president, was installing officer, assisted by state board members, Mrs. Page Nelson of San Diego, Mrs. Evelyn Rodgers of Oxnard and Mrs. Wayne Hansen of Santa Ana.
New officers for the Anaheim Auxiliary are: Mrs. Gerald Cennamo, president; Mrs. Charles Oldham, vice-president; Mrs. Arnold Brion, secretary; Mrs. Frank Stevens, treasurer; Mrs. Elwyn Taylor, conductor; Mrs. Larry Settje, warden; Mrs. Leonard Hall, Mrs. Gerald Powles and Mrs. John Virgo, trustees.
Mrs. Hall, outgoing president of the Anaheim Auxiliary, welcomed Mayor Schutte and Fire chief Stringer and both gave short talks.
Mrs. Chris Easton was chairman of the installation committee. She was assisted by Mrs. Settje, Mrs. Violet Plews, Mrs. Leonard Hall, Mrs. Marvin Bistrok.

The officers were installed in an impressive tri-city ceremony involving officers from Costa Mesa and Santa Ana auxiliaries in the new Anaheim Carpenters Hall.
Mrs. M. Scott Takes St. Michael’s Post
Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Scott has begun her new duties as director of religious education at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
A native of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Scott’s training includes North-eastern University in Boston, Deaconess Training School in Sycamore, Ill., and St. Margaret’s House, Church Graduate Training School for Women in Berkeley.
Mrs. Scott spent last summer on the Town and Country program sponsored by the National Council, spending four days at Black-foot, Idaho, visiting the Fort Hall Indian Reservation to learn of the work of the Church there. She graduated in June.
She has a daughter, Nancy Elen, who hopes to enter the University of California at Santa Barbara this fall.
The summer service schedule includes Holy Communion every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. and every Thursday at 9:30 a.m.; family worship at 9:30 a.m. with Communion the second Sunday; family worship at 10:15 a.m. with Communion the first Sunday; Evensong at 7 p.m. followed by Senior High Y.P.F. and adult classes. Nursery care is provided.

Carol Wood Weds Vincent Winicekie
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan E. Wood of 12841 Cliffwood, Anaheim, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Carol L., to Vincent G. Winicekie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard G. Winicekie.
The wedding was held at the Capilla de San Antonio and attended by members of the immediate families. The Rev. J. H. Geisler officiated.
College Talks Set
Dr. Kurt Bergel, professor of history and modern languages at Chapman College, will leave today for Brazil, where he has been invited to deliver a series of lectures at the University of Sao Paulo in August.
Women Honored at LB Sales Seminar
Four Anaheim women attended a two-day sales & management seminar held last week at the Lafayette Hotel, Long Beach.
Attending the meeting were Fashion Show directors and managers of Emmons Jewelers, Inc.Newark, New York, from six states in the West.
The Anaheim women received Ruth E. Denardo, Mrs. Lee Miller, Mrs. Bobbie Ridge and Mrs.Virginia Tanner.
The Anaheim women received certificates and commemorative coins in recognition of achievement. Mrs. Tanner also received a gold honor key.
Speakers for the Seminar included sales, management, and fashion promotion specialists.

OC General Hospital Volunteers To Host County Residents
Members of the board of the Orange County General Hospital volunteers will be hostesses tomorrow afternoon at a tea at 2 o'clock for some 150 county residents who are now doing volunteer work at the county hospital.
The tea will be held in the lounge of the nurses' residence on the hospital grounds.

Violets To Be Topic At Begonia Meeting
The most compact garden hobby, African Violets, will be teatured tonight at 8 p.m. at an open meeting of the Orange County Begonia Society in Garden Grove Grange Hall, eCntury Blvd. and Taft Ave.
Discussing the plants, which can be collected on a kitchen window sill, will be Cecil Houdyshel of La Verne, whose mail order nursery is known throughout the county for a number of varieties offered.
