MARY WILBOURN Mary Wilbourn, 57, a native of Arkansas who came to California in 1942, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at the Mission Hospital in Huntington Park. She is survived by her husband, Edgar Bryant Wilbourn at the family home, 525 S. West St. Four daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Jones of Oklahoma, Mrs. Dorothy J. Karnes of Long Beach, Miss Linda Sue and Miss Vanita Jean Wilbourn both at home; mother, Mrs. Walter McLaughlin of Oklahoma; a brother, Roger McLaughlin of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Rush of Oklahoma and Mrs. Vera Blackburn of Bellflower and five grandchildren. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Anaheim. Funeral services will be conducted from the Hilgenfeld Mortuary Chapel, Thursday at 2 o'clock. Rev. Plans for formation of a Parents Committee for Youth Protection for the Magnolia School District are announced by a group of parents from the Dr. Jonas E. The group is meeting as a result Salk School. The group is meeting as a result of the request of Superintendent Kenneth Neilson, of the Magnolia District, for some help from the parents in an effort to lend support to the school administration. Recent cases of indecent exposure and malicious mischief on the school grounds have caused the action to be taken and the first meeting was held at the home of Mrs. George P. Karcher. Sitting in at the meeting and actively engaged in making plans for future action were: Mrs. Herbert Bach, Mrs. Howard Shaw, Mrs. Carl Keppeler, Mrs. Robert Tennyson, Mrs. Donald Shubert and Mrs. Charles Corinth. The meeting was called at the request of the chairman, George Karcher, who presented a blueprint for action and called for plans for a mass meeting of parents from the entire Magnolia District, to be held at the Dr. Jonas E. Salk School in the near future. A program for the first meeting at the school was voted on by speakers from the Elff's Office, the City of Annapolis Juvenile Division, the Call Youth Authority, the County Probation Department all other offices that would be able to contribute something stantial to the committee's objective. The plan is not only to allow of the children to the district ahead at this time of the but to include a program of education that will enable mothers and fathers to closely with the school authority to solve this problem.
