LEGAL NOTICE (Pub. Anaheim Gazette Apr. 23, 1959.) ORDINANCE NO. 1341 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING ARTICLE IV, CHAPTER I OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING PART I THEREOF, AND BY ADDING PART II THEREOF. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Article IV, Chapter 1 Part 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: PART 1. DOGS. "SECTION 4100. DEFINITIONS. Wherever in this Chapter the following terms are used, they shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to them in this Section unless it is apparent from the context thereof that some other meaning is intended." "DOG: Any dog, whether male, unspayed or spayed female dog. "VICIOUS DOG: Any dog which has bitten a person or animal without provocation or which has a disposition or propensity to attack or bite any person or animal without provocation, or which habitually runs after moving vehicles, including bicycles, or which habitually does any other act which reasonably endangers the comfort, health or safety of any persons or which habitually injures or destroys property, is hereby declared to be a vicious dog." "LICENSE COLLECTOR: The term License Collector shall include any person duly authorized by the City Council of the City of Anaheim to collect dog licenses and fees and issue licenses and tags." "LICENSE YEAR: A license year shall commence on January 1st and shall end on December 31st of each year." "KENNEL: Any lot, building, structure, enclosure or premises whereon or wherein four or more dogs are kept or maintained for the purpose of breeding, raising for the market boarding." QUARANTINE: The isolation dog, or any other domestic and substantial enclosure so that dog or domestic animal cannot subject to contact with other animals unauthorized persons. CITY HEALTH OFFICER: The term City Health Officer is any such person, and his duties appointed by the Council, and the Orange County Health and his deputies. SECTION 4100. LICENSE DOGS. There is hereby levied an license of $2.00 upon every dog over the age of six (6) within the City of Anaheim such license fee. The license fee be due and payable on the first of January of each year.
