The squadron's mission during the operation was acting as spotter for the artillery, transporting of troops to otherwise inaccessible positions, transporting ammunition and supplies for ground units and evacuating simulated casualties. The exercise is designed to familiarize Marines of the 1st Brigade with their armament and to enable them to maintain a high state of combat readiness.
