Football Book Is Free for Asking
Such overwhelming success met the publication "A Housewife's Guide To Baseball" published this spring by KMPC, that the second literary effort of the KMPC staff, "Football From the Ground Up" has just rolled off the press. It is available, free of charge, to anyone requesting a copy by writing KMPC, 5939 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood 28, California.
The booklet has been designed to help the average fan follow football games with a reasonably bright look on their faces. It is a review of the manly art of the gridiron, with a special emphasis on the rules that govern the action. It also contains a glossary of terms and a lavish display of illustrations and ornamentation. In short, it is a description of a game — a game that's wonderfully exciting, but really nothing to get all shook up about—according to the editor.
The booklets will be of great help to KMPC listeners who will again hear all the Los Angeles Rams professional games expertly described by Bob Kelley, KMPC's Director of Sports, exclusively in the Los Angeles area over the facilities of KMPC, 710 on the dial.
