Palm St., Anaheim, recently returned to his regular assignment in Hochst, Germany, after a two-month tour of duty with Task Force 201 in Lebanon. L. Hicks who has been on the meat processing business since 1937, operating on a basis of volume selling direct from packer to consumer. This operation gives the consumer quality meats at lower prices, Hicks said. Hicks has arranged for free stage coach rides from the Euclid store on Saturday, October 18 from 9 o'clock until noon and at the Brookhurst location of the Texas Meat Packers store from 1 o'clock to 3 p.m. Laber and Edwards Auto Parts Laber and Edwards Auto Parts incorporated, owned and operated by "Hank" Edwards and "Dick" Laber, offers complete auto parts service operated on a self-service system. Ryan, who has been in business in Anaheim for 13 years, with his main plant, The French Cleaners and Laundry, at 605 E. Center, said he plans to make the No. 3 plant a family affair and will establish his two sons, Dennis and Barry as managers. Both boys are graduates of Anaheim Union High School. The new plant is equipped with a long bank of washers and an ample number of dryers. The plant has convenient parking and is located in a shopping center where one-stop parking will offer many services. Doctor Active In Kenny Work Cited by AMA Minneapolis, Minn.—Dr. Frank H. Krusen of the Mayo clinic at Rochester, Minn., winner of the American Medical Association's 1958 Distinguished Service award, is active in two major capacities with the Sister Elizabeth Kenny foundation. Dr. Krusen helped organize and serves as chairman of the American Rehabilitation foundation, an affiliate of the Kenny foundation, and is a member of the Kenny foundation's medical advisory committee. In 1953, Dr. Krusen, who heads physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rochester medical center, received the (U.S.) President's Physicians award for service to the handicapped. He earned this year's AMA award for distinguished work in the same field. Dr. Krusen headed the post-war Baruch Committee on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which started wide training and research in American medical schools. He also headed an effective vocational rehabilitation committee for Gov. Orville Freeman of Minnesota. The Kenny foundation continues to provide funds for the development of undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate teaching programs in the medical and allied rehabilitation fields.
