Anaheim Gazette Aug 14 and 21, 1958) LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS FOR FURNISHING LIQUID CHLORINE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals will be received by the City of Anaheim, as contracting agent for the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer, at the office of the City Clerk of said City up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on August 28, 1958, and will be opened or said state at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. in the Public Office of the City Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, State of California, by the City Clerk and the City Engineer, for the furnishing to the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer of the following approximate quantity of liquid chlorine: An estimated quantity of 200,000 to 300,000 pounds of liquid chlorine of commercial quality, supplied in containers of 2,000-pound capacity, net weight. Shipment of full cylinders and return of county cylinders to be prepaid by bidder any location requested by the buyer. All these inquiries and past usage of chlorine is available at the office of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer, 719 S. Loara Street, Anaheim, or the office of the City Clerk, the City Hall, Anaheim, California. and shall be tabulated by the City Engineer and the result thereof reported to the City Council at its next regular or adjourned regular meeting, for action thereon by said Council. All bidders are requested to visit all of the sites to be supplied and to arrange for inspection of bidder's facilities by buyer. The Contract to be awarded shall be for a period of one (1) year from date of contract, and all bids and deliveries of objection shall accordance with specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and the office of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer at 719 S. Loara Street, Anaheim, California. The City Council of the City of Anaheim reserves the right to reject any and all bids and parts of bids and to accept bids in whole or in part as the public interest and necessity may require, and to waive any legal sale bid to the extent authorized by law. Such bids shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check drawn upon a bank doing business in the State of California, or a bid bond for at least ten per cent (10%) of the bid, payable to Anaheim, and the successful bidder. proposal of said City Council, amount not less than fifty pence (50%) of the aggregate price of said contract, which logically must be obtained at that time by the City Clerk.
