Credit Bureau to Act As Collectors For Medical Bills
Inauguration of a new service to meet a specialized professional need, the collection of past-due medical and dental bills all over North America, was announced by A. L. Raymond, manager of Northern Orange County Credit Bureau. In the average year, 92 per cent of American households incur medical bills, but physicians report one household in 10 now fails to pay these debts. "It is only fair to the conscientious papromptly to try and collect from those who are negligent about paying," Leo E. Brown, speaking for the American Medical Association, said.
He stressed the need to conform to policies the medical profession considers essential to the preservation of good doctor-patient relationships.
The medical association itself has declared: "Medicine must never become a business, but there is a business side to medicine."
The stated purpose of the new Medical Credits Division of ACI of A is "to provide a dignified and successful medical collection service for members of the health professions," including physicians, dentists, hospitals and clinics.

DEAL & A GOOD DEAL MORE'
Building a completely new house of worship for the price of a small home is the record of the South Sheridan Baptist Church, Denver, Colorado.
Rev. Clifford Morton, Pastor, reports that the entire church was put up at a total cost of $13,500 through using the time, labor and money saving advantages of a pre-engineered trussless steel building manufactured by the Wonder Building Corporation of America, 80 N. LaSalle St., Chicago.
According to Rev. Morton, approximately $9,000 was spent on cost of materials, and $4,500 for labor. "If the time element had not been important, we would have used donated labor, thereby cutting our labor cost in half." As it was, the structure itself was erected in only 3 weeks," he added.
The new steel church measures 82 x 70. Seating capacity is normally 275, but 300 can be seated if necessary.
The church is connected with a Sunday School Annex by an open-air breezeway, lined in redwood. The Annex, an older structure, serves as a chapel and Sunday School. Young people's and adult departments meet in the new auditorium and side rooms.
Rev. Morton explained that the Wonder Building structure was chosen to house the new sanctuary "because it seemed to meet perfectly our needs of erecting a suitable worship place in the least amount of time and at a minimum expense, without sacrificing beauty, utility and function."
Future plans call for using the new building as a recreation center and banquet hall, thereby adding to its versatility and flexibility, Rev. Morton said.
When you stop your car on the highway, it's important that you pull completely off the roadway. Oncoming cars may be unable to stop in this situation.
Excessive speed is the most prevalent violation occurring in fatal auto accidents.
