Location of "LaMont Towers" Condemned for The above drawing shows an artist's conception of "The LaMont Towers" a modern office structure which, according to Vic LaMont, may never become a reality in Anaheim. According to LaMont the four-story structure was to be built at 128 to 230 West Chartres Street in Anaheim. It was to be a multiple purpose office building with first-class restaurant on the fourth floor. This would have included a coffee shop, cocktail lounge and large restaurant which would be served by two elevators operating from the ground floor. One of these was to be a fast express elevator. The ground floor design was governed by the normal use of commerce such as smart shops, banking institutions, furniture and other retail outlets. The Division will make one day stops at Pearl Harbor, Pago Pago, Samoa; and Wellington, N.Z. After leaving New Zealand they will stop at Hobart, Tasmania for days, beginning Feb. 7, to part in Mardi Gras festivities for the annual Hobart Royal gatta of rowing and sailing rafts. NEED A LIBRARIAN Following an extensive study by a citizens library committee, the board of the Magnolia School District has decided to establish its own school library system for the 1958-59 school year. Cost studies projected by the district staff indicated the advisability of ending its current contract with the Orange County Free Library system and the establishment of its own circulating library. M. Banks, president of the All-Year Club. The month's total was $60,724,-769. It was spent by 332,447 visitors who came here during December on pleasure trips. "These are new dollars, brought here from the economy of these people's home states, and added to the wealth of southern California," Banks said. The All-Year Club handles the southland's community tourist advertising campaigns. Last year over four million tourists were attracted here, and spent nearly $809,000,000.
