Anaheim Man Is New Sales Manager for Western Air District
Appointment of Lyman L. Harrington as manager of a new Western Air Lines sales district with headquarters at the Disneyland Hotel was announced today by Arthur F. Kelly, WAL vice president-sales.
The new district, which will include all Orange County, is being established to serve one of the fastest-growing regions in southern California.
Harrington, 39, moves to the new Orange County office from Huntington Park where he has served as a WAL sales representative since retiring from the U.S. Air Force last year. A native of Winona, Minn., he served 20 years with the Air Force in engineering and personnel services assignments.
Harrington, his wife, Violeta, and their daughters, Connie, Patricia and Loretta, will establish a home in Anaheim.
Postal Supervisors Elect New Officers
Orange County Branch 373 of the National Association of Postal Supervisors chose new officers during the final meeting of 1957. Outgoing President, Cecil V. Hamilton, assistant postmaster, Orange, installed the new officers in an informal ceremony. The new officers of Branch 373 for 1958 are Daniel Phillips, assistant postmaster, Brea, president; Clarence F. Voght, station superintendent, Santa Ana, vice president; Homer D. Miner, superintendent of mails.

Miner, superintendent of mails, Buena Park, secretary-treasurer and Robert S. Spurrier, assistant postmaster, Garden Grove, sergeant at arms.
Under the guidance of outgoing President Cecil V. Hamilton the branch had a most successful year and although Branch 373 only recently received its charter it can claim a virtual 100 per cent membership of all postal supervisors in Orange County.
An unusual feature is presented by the choice of Daniel Phillips as the new president of the supervisors organization, as the current president of the National Association of Postmasters in Orange County is his brother, John F. Phillips, the postmaster of San Clemente.
