B5 - Anaheim Gazette Anaheim, Calif., Thurs., Nov. 7, 1937 LAMB KIDNEYS WITH VEGETABLES 6 lamb kidneys 2 tablespoons bacon drippings 1 3-oz. can sliced mushrooms 2 tablespoons minced parsley ¼ C. sherry wine ½ C. cream 1 package frozen peas, cooked and drained Hot buttered toast Remove outer membrane, white veins, and fat from kidneys; cut into thin slices. Cook in hot bacon drippings three minutes. Add mushrooms and parsley and simmer 6 minutes. Add sherry, cream, and peas, and simmer another 2 minutes. Serve on hot toast. 3 servings. HALLOWEEN ICICLES 1 6-oz. can frozen concentrated pineapple and orange juice ½ C. sugar 2½ C. orange soda Combine all ingredients. Stir gently until sugar is dissolved.
