Sugar Beet Farmers File Acreage Request
The Orange County ASC office at 622 N. Main St., Santa Ana, is now ready to accept requests for 1958 Sugar Beet Proportionate Shares. Farm operators who wish to grow sugar beets in 1958 must file their requests in the ASC office on or before Nov. 8, this year, according to Henry T. Segerstrom, chairman of the Orange ASC County committee.
Although request forms may be obtained from sugar company representatives, (or may be obtained by mail) farmers who wish to grow beets are urged to complete and file their requests at the ASC office in person. The farmer will then be able to check the records for his farm and be assured that his application is complete and timely filed, Segerstrom stated.
