JOHN R. CLARK GRADUATES
John R. Clark, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph E. Clark of 818 Cottonwood Circle, Anaheim, graduated from recruit training June 29, at the Naval Training Center in San Diego. The graduation exercises, marking the end of nine weeks of "boot camp", included a full dress parade and review before military officials and civilian dignitaries.

According to an announcement by Congressman James B. Utt (R-28th Dist.) city delivery will be extended in Anaheim to include the 200-300 blocks of Coolidge and Kendor Drives, and North Dale Street, effective July 22, 1957. This extension will provide service to approximately 40 family residences.

"ROADEO" IN GERMANY
Army Pvt. Robert E. Kirby, son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Kirby, 2502 Houston St., Anaheim, recently participated in the 540th Engineer Group's "Roadeo" in Germany. Kirby competed in the two and one-half ton truck division of the event. Kirby, regularly assigned as a truck driver in Headquarters and Service Company of the group's 227th Engineer Battalion, entered the Army in February 1950 and completed basic training at Fort Knox, Ky.
