Lyons has been named an assistant vice president of Home Savings and Loan, it was announced today by Kenneth D. Childs, president. Mr. Lyons is now manager of the Buena Park office of Home Savings and Loan. After attending Santa Ana Junior College, Sam Lyons joined the Savings and Loan Association of Anaheim. In July, 1956, he joined Home's Buena Park office. Lyons lives in Santa Ana with his wife, Nancy, and baby boy, Daniel. He is a member of the Anaheim Lions Club, the Orange County Peace Officers Association and the American Savings and Loan Institute. Home now has four offices serving Orange County: Buena Park, Anaheim, Garden Grove and Santa Ana. G.G. Players Have Summer Theatre For Young People The cast and crew of the Garden Grove Community Players are busily preparing for their next production, "The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker," an hilarious comedy of the 1890's, which opens on July 27 at the Brookhurst School. This particular production was selected to provide the young people of the community the opportunity to enter into community theater activities during summer vacation. Playing the Pennypacker children are: Polly Bevin as Laurie Pennypacker, Timothy Davie as Ben Pennypacker, Richard Erlich as David Pennypacker, Tom Labaugh as Edward Pennypacker, Toni Baurac as Elizabeth Pennypacker, Michael Lewis as Henry Pennypacker, Philia White as Horace Pennypacker and Jodi Baurac as Bernadine Pennypacker; with Anita Goldberg, Mayrene Lewis and Dian Chapman as the three dancing pupils. The romantic interest is provided by Yvonne Dufield as Kate Pennypacker and Thurman Smith as Wilbur Fifield. Aunt Jane Pennypacker will be played by Louise Morrison, Ma Pennypacker by Barbara Carver, Miss Quinlan by Pat Quick, Dr. Fifield by Pat Tepper and the Sheriff by Clyde Warner. Cast as Pa Pennypacker as well as guest director is Dan Baurac, with resident director Carl Goodwin as Grandpa Pennypacker.
